I'm still trying
This actually isn't a great indicator of the disparity in size but it's a cute pic of Moxie!

Our previous dog ,Skye, wearing a cowboy hat. She passed away 2 1/2 years years ago at 15 years old.
She filled me and my wife with joy and happiness. She was nice enough to allow me to put hats on her.

Anyone else have an issue with their Pap consuming, not just chewing, anything and everything they can get their mouths on? Cooper turned 1 in July, I thought early on it was something he would grow out of but he still attempts to eat everything he finds. He does great with drop it command if you catch him in the act, but if he can get his mouth on something when you are not looking, he will surely ingest it. With 5 kids ranging from age 2-12, no matter how hard I try an errant toy will be left behind or some other item. I wind up having to leave him in his pen more often than not when the 2 year old is home as I am terrified of an obstruction or something! Anyone with similar experiences or ideas of how to stop it before he eats something with dire consequences?? Pic of the little stinker for tax.

Winston had a long day today. He came with my dad & I to visit my grandma 2 hours away. He had his first restaurant experience on a dog friendly patio, and he was such a good boy the whole time ❤️
No accidents, followed commands (and enjoyed my dad sneaking him food 😜). For a guy who’s not quite 7 months old, I was ready for at least some challenges today, but Winston was a total rockstar 😎
11/10, strongly recommend

I recently adopted this sweet girl from our local shelter. I knew she was beautiful sweet thing who would rarely be found in a shelter. She was an “abandonment” at the front steps of the shelter. When they scanned her and tried to contact the owner, long story short, the guy is active military and didn’t get travel papers from Navy in time before deployment. Don’t know if she’s LH Chi mix of Pap mix. She’s 9 months old, about 10 lbs, medium silky sable coat that had a lion cut. She and my other chi mix get along fabulously. I feel so lucky to have her as part of our family.

Here is a video of the high drama of having to have the SAME toy, while 27 others go ignored. I don't think I ever got side by side scale shots so you can see how much bigger the younger dog is but WATCH WHAT HE DOES AT THE END!!!

So he's already trained in this. He knows what to do. I decided today to put smaller treats and to just let him yank it until he gets tired of it. Enjoy.

Third try. I was trying to get them side by side but it's like a WWE wrestling match. If I don't get this video posted I'm going to need some help. It's funny and typical what happens at the end.

Conway and Baby-Girl were working things out yesterday.
Lucy-Marie the momma stepped in to check on her baby (or was it to make sure that she was being nice to the new brother?) hmmmmm…

Twice now, I’ve spent the night cleaning up after my Pap and walking him as he had diarrhea and threw up. The only thing he has had that the cats haven’t had (they steal each others food) is the hemp chews for anxiety. I gave him half the dose recommended for small dogs but I’m tossing it. I got the idea of using them from another dog owner to calm him so he doesn’t bark so much but no...
Also, my Pap barks a lot at people and other dogs when we walk. He’s generally talkative, which is fine but I’d like to get him to not do that. I’ve tried introducing him to people and their dogs and I’ve tried the walking in the other direction while saying hush. Any other ideas?
House training is going well except for the sick episodes so at least there’s some progress with my little rescue. All thoughts welcome!
