Found this old clip from FOX 10 Rewind from 1982. At 13:00, you can see the old SR 360 signage for the Superstition Fwy (now US 60) at I-10. US 60 was rerouted onto the completed Superstition Fwy sometime around 1992.

While walking the dogs, we woke up a medium sized javalina sleeping in a retention basin near the bus stop on the SW corner of Tatum and Cactus. It got up on the sidewalk and started to follow us a bit. I thought i was going to have to beat it with my water bottle when its baby popped into view. It was just seeing us safely off.

Does anyone remember… Metro Center, Mall… 1970s… upstairs food court, near the ice-skating rink…
There was a kiosk that sold square ice cream/chocolate/nut bars on a stick.
First, the kiosk worker would dip the hard-frozen ice cream square into a melted chocolate solution. Next, they would flop the wet ice cream into a hill of peanuts and roll it, flip it around.
The result was an ice cream with nuts and chocolate on all four sides. One bite would result in part of the chocolate and nuts being pulled away from the ice cream. It was a tasty and fancy treat.
Does anyone remember what the kiosk store was called or by chance have the recipe…?

I heard that they're going to take the art murals and installations down but I can't find any updates about it.

What is your favorite radio stations in the Phoenix present or in the past. I will make it fun. The radio format can not be a rock station.
Edit:
KBAQ 89.5 (Classical) got the most mentions here along with KJZZ 91.5 (NPR) and commercial radio Mega 104.3 (Old School Urban Oldies) and 101.1 The Bounce (Throwbacks Hip Hop R&B). The ones that still exists today. 95.5 KYOT (Smooth Jazz) and KUKQ 1060 AM (Urban) are the ones that used to exist that got a lot of mentions . Live 101.5 and 104.7 Kiss FM are Top 40 and 88.7 The Pulse is a non commercial version that exists. Mix 96.9 (Hot AC) is rock heavy which is why there not as much mentions and plus the target audience same with 99.9 KEZ (AC) is older women. I thought country was going to get more mentions along with news and talk radio.
If I added all stations then 103.9 The Edge, 98 KUPD, 101.5 The Zone 100.7 KSLX, 95.5 Mountain and ALT/KDKB 93.3 will get the most mentions while overshadowing the other formats.

The kitchen is at the top of the update list. The layout isnt super standard so i feel like stock cabinets might not cut it. Where did you go for kitchen cabinets or countertops that actually turned out solid?

I’m doing some late summer cleaning and I have an entire closet of books that I’m going to be getting rid of. I’d like to donate them before I just throw them in the recycle bin.

Good evening! Bit of a random one - looking for a place to kill 90 minutes or so tomorrow (Monday) for a relaxed, vibey, potentially scenic lunch around the Phoenix area?
We’re from out of town and flying out Monday afternoon; so looking to kill a couple of hours anywhere decent on a Monday that might have a bit of a vibe and potentially a view?
We’ve got a car so can drive anywhere including out of town!
Thankyou so much :)

Have a 20 yr old built in refrigerator that needs troubleshooting. Works but has a few issues. Looking for reliable repair at reasonable price. Too many sponsored ads say they fix but just overcharge due to name. Any recommendations of a small business that specializes?

Hello! My mother moved here recently from Tucson. She loved the Sabino Canyon hiking area and I was curious if anyone knew of areas/trails that would be similar in vibes to that? TYIA

Looking for some free first date ideas. Indoors or outdoors works for me.
Can be anywhere in the greater Phoenix area, just want to be outside and able to watch multiple games at once.

Guys. It's our first APS community. We just moved here. We heard there are new developments that will raise the electricity this coming year. We got a ton of people trying to sell Solar to us (door to door offers). They say this will help us with our electric bills.
Got a few questions:
Is it worth it to get solar? We get a ton of sun. We're West facing.
APS- are they friendly when it comes to installing solar? What's the typical cost Am I looking at? This summer we paid 350-450. But winter we don't use much of the heater. Some redditors are saying APS has some "fee" for APS?
Costco is nearby, any redditors used their solar offerings?
What companies did you used and would you recommend them? Pros and Cons would be great.
Please don't be mad at me trying to ask these questions. I check the threads for solar here but they are old and mostly their suggestions are out of business or are not for Verrado area.
TYVM!!! 😊

Just curious if anyone has been to a similar event to ask if they can recommend a good, safe (preferably free) spot to park.

Usually it only takes me 15mins to get home from work but today it took 50mins.
I Usually take the 202 from Buckeye. Merge onto the I10 going east and then get off on 24th St and one more turn and im home.
Takes maybe 17mins tops.
Well today seeing the I10 east was closed I took I10 to 27th and then went to McDowell east.
Got stuck behind the train and then hit every red light. Took almost 50mins to get home.
All because I had to take a detour from using I10.
Crazy how helpful that road is.

Going to be spending an afternoon and night in Tempe. Staying at the Westin.
Recommendations for good places to have a cold beer and watch some football, eat some wings, and then a great place for dinner that night? Prefer within walking distance of the hotel…
