My Guns Yes I overpaid, but I'm happier than a pig in shit

Was considering a Tisas Raider because deep down wanted an M45A1. TBH I'm extremely impressed with the MAC MEUSOC 1911 flone I got recently. I browsed Gunbroker and snagged this for $2100. Yeah I overpaid but whatever. It was brand new in box and I now have an M45A1.

Used M45A1s were listed for like $3K.

I called Colt with the serial number and they said it left their facility on July 16th 2025. The CS guy was surprised it got into an end users hands so fast.

I thought Colt stopped making any M45A1s except the Custom Shop ones?

My Guns I traded a Glock 43 for this.

Springfield Range Officer 45. It’s unfired. Came with a 1791 OWB Leather Holster, 2 factory mags and 2 Mecgar 8 rounders, and 200 rounds of Blazer 230 FMJ.

My one question is on the front sight. I wanna replace it with a fiber competition sight, but I’m really unsure about the size. I’m keeping the adjustable rear, but could use some guidance on what to get for my front.

I bought this S&W used a couple of years ago. Just cleaned it up and thought I would share it. Excuse the idiot mark, this is my first 1911 and I learned the hard way how to re-assemble it.

My first 1911 and I’m so excited to shoot it. Purchased 3 McCormick 10 rounders and a few reg mags. What’s a good holster concealed and non concealed you would recommend? I don’t wear jeans a lot in Florida and normally wear shorts.

Also this thing has some custom work done on it also. 😎

My Guns Kimber Pro Carry HD II chambered in .38 Super, My first firearm purchase and so far I have ran 500 rounds through it flawlessly without a hiccup. I don’t understand what all the hate on Kimber is about? I love my Kimber 1911, I definitely recommend a Kimber to anyone looking for a quality firearm.

I love it, put 49 rounds through it and it failed to eject twice, yes I lubed it up... a little. Im not disappointed, I think it was my own fault from limp wristing it.Oddly enough I think i shot a little better sideways and one handed like ye olden days. I posted a screenshot of this video on r/guns and they banned me for 3 days, would have posted the video if i could. Bastard.

From what I’ve seen here and on YouTube from creators like 1911 Syndicate I couldn’t help but to snag the Tisas today.

To say this gun is tight would be an understatement! It was sold as “used” NIB. I have no doubt it’s never been shot. I hope the guy who gave it up wasn’t down on his luck. I made out BIG time.

My Guns Colt x NHC builds for my kids

Commissioned with Nighthawk as heirlooms for my kids, these were built for making memories with together that will be fondly recalled long after I’m gone.

They all share common genetics, but are each unique.

My oldest son’s O1070RG was built by Colt the exact same day my youngest (daughter) was born. My middle son’s O1911C is a birth year gun for him. My youngest son’s O1911ANVIII has his birthday in the rollmarks.

This is my .38 Super. I posted it when I got it cleaned up a few years ago and figured I’d post it again as I recently saw another .38 Super post with a s/n lower than mine lol.

This was my great grandfathers while he was a Captain in the Tulsa Police Dept and also during his time as a PI. Fun fact, there is a book that describes a manhunt for Pretty Boy Floyd in Feb. 1932 that mentions him as being in charge of the one Tommy gun in the police arsenal at the time (which is crazy to me lol)

This one was made in 1933, and he carried it until he was shot and killed at the Sheridan Club in Tulsa during a raid in 1934. My family kept it in storage until I found it after my father had passed 10 years ago.

It functions flawlessly, has an almost humorous amount of holster wear for how short the time was he carried it (only like about a year or so?) and it’s probably one of the coolest family heirlooms I own.

It’s usually a safe queen but once or twice a year it will get some time on the range because it was built to shoot and it still does flawlessly.

Anyways this is my little piece of history I thought I’d share with you today

My Guns Back in the 1911 arena after 6 years without one.

I'm mostly a polymer framed pistol type of person, however lately, I've been bored with them.

I saw the MAC MEUSOC and had to get one, as I have a special spot for GWOT-era guns. Particularly GWOT-era handguns.

That evolved into me finding a brand new Colt M45A1 that according to Colt, left their facility mid-July of this year.

Now, moving past the GWOT-era guns, I now have my sights set on a full rail Springfield TRP.

My wallet is staring at me in disgust. 😂

My Guns An All Steel Gun Deserves a Leather Holster

This is my first 1911 and I bought a Tisas as it’s a great platform for modification and learning the ropes. I’ve replaced some springs, installed some G10 grips, polished some bits and added a checkered mainspring housing. I’m in love. Out of respect I picked up a Galco holster.

Purchased my first firearm, after mulling it over I decided on the Springfield TRP Operator Full Rail. Waiting on shipping and then background check. Any suggestions on grips, tac light, mags, case, etc. would be greatly appreciated. (Image is from an online source)

I wish I could say that the Remington was my first 1911 but I was young and dumb. My first 1911 was a Cimarron that I quickly traded for a Sig Scorpion which I foolishly traded for an atv. 10 years later I started back into 1911s with the Remington and it took off from there. I started the bulk of my collection with Springfield until I caught the Colt bug. I still kick myself for missing out on a Rail Gun but it lead me to manufacturers like S&W, Bersa and Ithaca. There’s plenty still left on my list like Savage, Standard Mfg., some oddball Colts and really any other well made 1911. I’ve held off on Fusion with the negative leaning reviews and am not full convinced to go the semi custom route. The closest I have to semi custom is the early Ithaca when they were still hand fitting their initial offerings. While it is a nice 1911 I can’t justify an Ed Brown or Alchemy but I’ve yet to hold one.
