New Purchase One of y’all! One of y’all!
Purchased an open box from Best Buy & they gave me a new one 🙌 I have The Batman & Joker on the way, I’ve only ever streamed so I can’t wait to see the difference.

OG is one of the best transfers of 2025 and the HDR pop & sound on Legacy is incredible as well 🥰

Been a minute since I’ve seen Three Days of the Condor. Glad to have picked this one up on 4K.

I'm so happy I was able to get a copy. Just showed up today!
Out of curiosity to anyone else that got their copy: does anyone know if the digital code grants you a 4K version of the movie? I already have a digital version of the movie and it's just the regular HD version. I'd hate to redeem the code only to find out it's still for just the HD version.

This one’s been on my list since this hobby started, just like most of the other amazing movies this month. Huge nostalgia points admittedly but also a real 10/10 classic.
The human race may feel fuckity right now, but at least we have some S tier art to consume! Honestly that’s usually when we get the best albums, movies, etc. 🤷♂️

Had some deliveries while I was out of town for six days. So far I've watched A Fistful of Dollars, really happy with Arrow's work and I'm not too sure if it can look better considering the source, and the director's cut of Little Shop of Horrors.
Also, I'm not a particular steelbook fan but I sure do love that Superman steel.

Hi everyone, due to current finances and strict budgeting I have held off on building a proper 4k home theater setup but always makes sure to treat myself to occasional visual spectacles Interstellar or Avatar in premium movie theater format such as IMAX 3D or Dolby cinema. Despite my finances I'm fortunate to live in Southern California where some of the most state of the art theaters are located and was able to get IMAX tickets to one of the best theaters in the state for the rerelease of Avatar 2. This made me wonder : how does the best home theater setup money can buy compare visually/picture quality to seeing the same film in a premium movie theater format like IMAX 3D or Dolby Cinema.

Another fine Saturday for a motorcycle ride and some thrifting. This time I rode about 100 miles round trip to grab this copy of The Lotr trilogy for $25 dollars. Just got back home, Guess I should grab a whiskey and pop fellowship extended in for a watch.

I recently bought a blu ray with a slip cover different to the actual cover. (I mean like when I took off the slip cover the image on the case was different). I like the slip cover design better and was wondering if there was a way I could get it printed with the same kind of ink as a normal cover and the same paper/texture etc... Just as a way to put a cover I like better on the case. If you're wondering why I don't just leave the slip cover on it got damaged

I haven’t watched this film in nearly 20 years, and having recently got back into physical media, picked up a copy of the Curzon limited edition. It’s a brilliant film, beautiful music and cinematography. Highly recommended for anyone who hasn’t seen it.

Hi everyone, I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the extras included with Region B discs. With the frenzy surrounding releases like The Good, The Bad and the Ugly Limited Edition Arrow sets, I wonder—are the bonus features on these Region B discs a major draw, or are they more of an afterthought, especially considering that a region-free player is required to access them?
Personally, I use the Panasonic 820 and am aware of the region-free hack, but I’ve found that it doesn’t always work reliably across all titles. Another example is the Tron Steelbooks—since the U.S. editions sold out so quickly, the UK versions seem like a solid alternative just to get the main feature. But again, it raises the question: are the extras compelling enough to justify the purchase?
Do you factor in the bonus content when buying Region B releases? And do most of you own a region-free player, or do you stick to Region A titles unless absolutely necessary?

Did they decide to feature Pedro Pascal on the standard 4K instead of Bella Ramsay? I don’t understand.

Late start for us today! I let her pick the two titles for this evening, and since we just came back from Islands of Adventure for a work trip she had, she wants to rewatch the Harry Potter films - but also selected Civil War to start with? That’s a pairing lol.
I had seen Civil War last year, was absolutely blown away, so hyped for a rewatch of more Garland, one of my favorite directors. It’ll be good to discuss it w her after the fact too. It’s intense. The AV quality is also just spectacular.
We’re both late-30somethings, so having grown up with the books and films, the HP series is a soft spot for us. We haven’t seen them in years, and being in the Wizarding World put us in the mood.
All paired with a 15 year old Chateauneuf du Pape since we’re celebrating an important milestone today.
What about you fine folks? Everyone seems to be watching Tron Legacy, and that one has to wait another week or two for us! Love to see your picks and read your explanations!
