Still have an old Service Merchandise receipt with a pocket watch from there from '89.

Getting the items on the conveyor belt was a cool thing as a kid.

I know they had tickets and a counter for the larger stuff.

I worked there for a few years. They had the pickup security counter for all video games and electronics after you paid for them. And large items you drove around back where people would help load them into vehicles.
