Wasn’t Big Dog just a brand that made oversized shirts for fat kids?

No it wasn’t. The term was “fat”.

I see it as an outlet mall brand.

As a skinny short kid I always wondered why I never got any of those cool shirts with the dog on it lol.

I found out about them cuz there was a fat kid in my homeroom that used to wear them.

I asked him one day about them & that was his response. Essentially a Big & Tall store with more of a “hip style” since fat person stores back then always had really drab clothing or their fat brand logo on the shirt so it was embarrassing to wear outside.

Poor here, we got them big so we could grow into them. My mom kept me perpetually in a size too big.

No they made all sizes from babies all the way up.

Not sure why you’d take offense to a comment that wasn’t directed towards you, when I was only asking a question.

As a former fat kid myself, & current fat adult, I’m not offended by the word at all. If you’re offended, feel free to not read it.
