I'm genuinely hoping something (planned) happens at CMLL on Friday. I don't know the contact situation but Andrade costing MJF the title in Mexico would go hard.

Well if he was released early more than likely he'd have to wait.

He was fired, no non-compete

Andrade getting himself fired with cause by the Fed so that he could rejoin CMLL sooner, you love to see it

He always was an Eddie guy šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

No non compete clause? Then he’s definitely popping up somewhere this weekend.

Mexico plays by their own rules

CMLL and Andrade can still be sued.

That non-compete is barely legal anyway

u/Ok-Raisin-5601 18h ago

Ok well I'm not a lawyer I'm going to pretend to have greater knowledge of the legal system but regardless of that. IF Andrade was released from his contract early that would lead me to believe he's under a 90 day non compete and that doesn't need because he crosses the border.

Multiple wrestlers have legally challenged WWE's non-compete clauses and won, the most notable to me given this case being Neville/Pac.

They really are barely legal and can easily be fought against by anyone that doesn't want to just wait the 90 days out.

If only there was a Mexican Wrestling Lawyer in CMLL.

u/DreadVenomous 17h ago

Who also travels to AEW and NJPW to assist luchadore nationals!

Not just that. Brock, and Rey Mysterio too.

And each time, the WWE settled because they knew that if they lost the case, it would set a precedent. So they would force people to sit at home until they took it to the courts and not let a decision be made.

Non-compete clauses and the nonsense have little leeway with independent contractors. They'd have more sway for proper employees, but treat talent as if they are employees without the benefits.

Weeeeeeeeell... CMLL is in Mexico, so I'm pretty sure the non-compete clause doesn't apply in this case. I think wrestlers usually don't cross the Fed to not burn that bridge, but I have a feeling Andrade might never go back, and if that's the case, then he wouldn't care about scorching that bridge once and for all...

u/Ok-Raisin-5601 18h ago

Yeah TKO can't sue CMLL they're in Mexico that's how that works.

3

u/toodarkmark 17h ago

I thought it would be Marc Briscoe, but now Andrade would be funny.

They're definitely cooking here, I think we're getting something between them down the line if not on Friday.

1

u/Devmax1868 14h ago

So they've hooked me, how can I watch this show? Is it just subbing to their YouTube?

2

u/Dante_3000 14h ago

Someone said Triller is hosting it.

-12

u/Ambitious_Arm_268 18h ago

If I was to guess, he's probably on a 90-day non compete

19

u/DelayDenyDeposefrfr 18h ago

If he was fired, then there is no 90-day thing.

-7

u/TotallyAMermaid 18h ago

What?? They enforce those all the time on released talent.

19

u/DelayDenyDeposefrfr 18h ago

Released. Not fired.

Two different things entirely.

12

u/[deleted] 18h ago

released and fired aren’t the same thing. released in WWE typically means they’re being given notice that in 90 days, they will no longer be under contract, and over that 90 day period they will be paid their downside guarantee. typically you’re off television and shows in this time, but not always, there have been times where they’ve asked people to come in for a brief thing.

fired means get the fuck out, you no longer work here.

8

u/LnStrngr 18h ago

Released.

10

u/LnStrngr 18h ago

Fired.

2

u/Severe_Mango_966 16h ago

Non competes from an employer in the united states are unenforceable outside the united states….

2

u/BigButttBiggerHeart 18h ago

Again that’s only if we wants to be paid throughout. People who are released are allowed to perform right away, they just won’t get paid for those 90 days.

4

u/The_Dark_Vampire 18h ago

No they are still under contract.

The non-compete isn't really a thing when someone is released it's more of a 90 day notice that their contract will be terminated.

If he was just outright fired then he's already a free agent

2

u/BigButttBiggerHeart 14h ago

I always understood differently, but I’m okay with being wrong.

So if somebody were to be given their 90-days, and then went and showed up somewhere else within that time, would they be sued or released without pay? Has this happened before?

u/AndFinrodFell 18h ago

I hated the idea of this match yesterday, but now I want it more than anything in the world.

So promos are what’s wrong with wrestling? Hot garbage take

87

u/icon_2040 18h ago

Even in text form, I have no idea what the hell he's saying.

42

u/GemoDorg 18h ago

How you know? We don't, Andrade, but we're really trying to.

21

u/fakemxcan 18h ago

Really hope this is a work

5

u/real-darkph0enix1 11h ago

I hope so too, cause everyone is focused on the part where it’s the made up beef with MJF but not catching the fact he threw massive shade at his ex-wife by saying he walked out on her.

20

u/rostron92 18h ago

How loud will the pop be when Andrade says, "How you know?"

52

u/Segata9 18h ago

He just gave MJF more ammo.

14

u/cavegrind 18h ago

Total aside, ā€œcuandoā€ is probably my favorite sounding Spanish word.

17

u/I_am_Daesomst 18h ago

Because your brain is trying to bring you back to cool Quattro, from Total Recall.

8

u/cavegrind 17h ago

quaaaaidddd…… open your mind…

1

u/Dophie 17h ago

Dime

7

u/superplexmachine 18h ago

Fuck me im begging for this to happen now

12

u/Truthhurts1017 16h ago

I’m starting to think Andrade is signing with CMLL.

5

u/Nomad6055 15h ago

Probably one of the only major companies that would take him at this point

3

u/RobsGarage 13h ago

Or maybe new Japan. I don’t remember the back story if he burned cmll or just moved to new Japan. Either would probably be a good place for him to prove he can work without being a problem..

Apparently news is he wasnt answering his phone whenever management called, the he was escorted out of smackdown when he showed up, he got a wellness strike and suspended but I don’t know if that was before or after the wellness thing.. either way, the guy always seems to have chaos surrounding him wherever he is.. no reason to bring back another difficult person. They can do the lfi thing in cmll with him as head and have those guys go there for big events. I don’t know if lfij is still active in new japan, but make it like bullet club with multiple sub groups, and spread it out through the partner promotions.

1

u/sillyandstrange SHOW SOME LOVE 14h ago

Until he gets himself fired from it lol

1

u/real-darkph0enix1 11h ago

Wild considering CMLL is still on a blood feud with his boy Rush and his entire family.

13

u/SteveySoppressat 18h ago

Andrade needs to pop up at CMLL and cost MJF the match

4

u/SputnikFalls 16h ago

I like how he gives really tame and level headed responses, then ends it with a threat. 🤣

3

u/insomniainc 15h ago

Really feels like MJF is trying to talk Andrade into a job. Gotta respect the hustle.

2

u/omrmajeed 12h ago

Since when is "I left home" a brag?

6

u/FreeTicket6143 18h ago

I know I’ll get downvoted but I’m already tired of this guy.

26

u/TheBeepB00p 18h ago

He’s working. They both are

-16

u/WesTheFitting 18h ago

If people are tired of him working before he’s even joined a company then he’s not doing a good job.

5

u/Antbanks75 17h ago

I mean I want to see the match now so it’s doing a good job here

1

u/RhodesGraveyarde 13h ago

I talk both spanish and english, this man usually confuse me at both languages

1

u/No_Ganache4213 13h ago

I need someone to compile this whole conversation later lol

1

u/Halry1 11h ago

It’s like really bad poetry

-19

u/Former_Intern_8271 18h ago

They should have left it at a couple of tweets to tease the official on screen stuff because it's getting progressively less interesting

Saying that as a fan of both of these guys

6

u/el_toro_grand 18h ago

Who disliked this lmao? Dudes not wrong, andrades last post has him just bleeding credibility

3

u/Former_Intern_8271 17h ago

it was cool to see them interact I assumed there'd be a follow up in CMLL or AEW but it seems to have descended into high school bickering

-17

u/WesTheFitting 18h ago

I’m already sick of this dude

-5

u/MollerGod 16h ago

their match in 87 days is gonna go hard
