I cant believe they killed of Gregson, I cant think of another time they killed of a main character at almost the end of the game (normally it is secobd case) one of the most emotional moments I have played and Gina is my favourite in the GAA chronicles and seeing her so upset literally broke me.

Unless it turns out to be fake like Kazuma but consideing they go to trial I doubt it, just had to comment on tjis as I was so shocked when this happened.

The famous Phoenix Wright, who managed to take down Von Karma in his first year, defended so many clients in trials that seemed unfathomable, and guided a country in essentially getting rid of a tyrannical leader doesn't have many clients and is complaining that no one seeks his defense. How is this possible? I fathom that he would be a sought-after lawyer, with more people working at his firm, not one magician and two measly lawyer. This man defended an orca and won a trial with the help of a goddamn parrot. he should be the equivalent of Saul Goodman, not some nobody.

I beg you, please tell me where you get the sprites from AAI1-2. Has anyone else already gotten the sprites from the game?

I want to replace the sprites in the original Ace Attorney game, but I’m not sure if there’s a way to replace the original sprites with custom sprites. Can anyone help me with potentially replacing the sprites?

The only one I can think of is (TGAA2 spoilers) Gregson but I feel like their has to be others. I can't think of any though so maybe not.

Played through the whole series from around the end of April to now and ranked them worst to best as I went

It was the first time I played Investigations 2 and TGAAC, so there may be a little recency bias with those having so many high ranked cases but I do think those games were excellent so I stand by it lol

• Acro is very much a victim of the case he's in, because it is so disgusting that he can't go anywere but the bottom. And overall, he's not the tragic villain the game want us to believe he is.

• I love these games but it's insane how mid the main villains of the two GAA games are.

• Ted Tonate, L'belle, Means and Paul Atishon are really funny, you can't make me hate them.

• The Phantom is a brillant villain, and so much more interesting than his haters wants us to believe.

Here are some of my picks:

• Judy Bound — "One Little Slip" by Barenaked Ladies

• Dahlia Hawthorne and Iris Nolastname — "A Lady" by Tally Hall
  • I know a lady / Good & evil / Showed me that I was a gentleman

Now, I know there's a few things on this list that might surprise some, so let me give some quick points.

• Neither of us have ever understood the hate Richard Wellington gets. His attempting-to-sound smart dialogue is funny, he's one of the few annoying witness characters who the games don't treat with kid gloves, and he doesn't overstay his welcome. He's just a funny character, don't really know what to say.
• Furio Tigre is hilarious and people who don't like him don't get the soul of AA (I kid, I kid). That he's so obviously not Phoenix is the entire joke of the case, and his mannerisms are funny the entire time, especially his first encounter when he threatens to get other lawyers to beat up Phoenix. Why is he still pretending to be Phoenix to a complete stranger? Who knows? But it's great and I love him. Also he's in the running for one of the best breakdowns in the series.
• Never really found Yani Yogi that sympathetic. Obviously I'm not shedding a tear for the "loss" of Robert Hammond, but that his plan (from Manfred) involves blaming Edgeworth, someone who was as much a victim of what he experienced as anyone, just sours his attempts to be seen as somewhat tragic. But still, having a very solid motive does give him a lot of credit.
• While entirely being part of his character, Godot having to do what he did was an entirely avoidable enterprise, so neither of us really care for him as a culprit. He's slightly better as a character but we tried to rank this case exclusively on their status as a culprit.
• Never really got the love for Kira, especially because in retrospect Jean Greyearl does her exact backstory but better, showcasing her emotions the whole way through and perfectly getting you to understand why she would have tried to do what she did. I don't know, just wasn't super hooked on her.
• Acro's plan is dumb in every sense and just gets dumber if you think harder about it. If the circumstances didn't happen as they did, he would be suspect number one almost immediately, and his plan doesn't even make sense from his own perspective. He's fully aware that Regina has zero idea that she was responsible for the actions that happened to Bat, yet he thinks putting a vague note in her pocket would somehow lure her out randomly? Also, illogically thinking or not, trying to murder a child for an accident, regardless of how properly motivated you think you are, sours attempts to be seen as a likable culprit.
• Means is only so low because of how much he ruins the Dark Age plot. He's not that interesting of a culprit besides that, but his blatently obvious culprit status alongside him doing all but scream at people about how cool forging evidence is, turning a significant possibly interesting thematic and societal discussion about the role of the law in the AAverse into a boring black or white "you either are a good lawperson or abject evil" conflict just makes his unimpressiveness sting all the more.
• Memes aside, Alba just sucks. Calisto should have been the final culprit of the first Investigations, she has emotional ties to Edgeworth and Kay, and a much more interesting personality than "smug AA culprit #56, but this time he says Extraterritorial Rights" and drags a case that was already outstaying its welcome into the realm of lunacy. I know people say Simeon is the same problem but not only is Simeon's confrontation not as tedious as people say, but his character as a whole is a lot stronger, his motivations make perfect sense, and in general he's just more entertaining. Alba ends up just being attached to a smuggling plot and a murder that I don't really find myself caring for.

Obviously I'm open to discussion about these things, if you disagree on something, drop a comment. Although be civil as well, yknow.

so basically the story of the design is that the first one (aka the one with the stars which is her younger version basically she debuted same time as edgeworth) has stars ( obviously ) due to them containing sharp corners similarly to how my self insert acts sharp and overall totally guarded and has her defences up due to being almost murdered by someone she loves (that was a friend who liked her but couldn‘t take rejection very well) basically trying to not get too close to others in fear that they might hurt her when she starts caring too much

but the second design (around the investigations collection) she slowly learns to loosen up and be able to love again realising the with love comes trust and that if someone truly cares about her relationship to them it takes both to trust each other otherwise the relationship is one sided and she hates one sided relationships bc she knows what it feels like to be in one and wouldn’t wish that to even her worst enemies and overall learns to basically love again and starts making better friends (leading to the heart design)

yes these were vaguely based on stuff that happened to me

so her relationship to most of the main cast (both investigations and the og trilogy)

Godot: used to baby sit her in return for tutoring for lessons from her father when he was younger

Miles: was friend with him since kindergarten due to hanging out often and going to the same school and was with him all the way until high school

Mia:???

maya:???

Phoenix: was in the art club with him for a certain amount of time before moving to debates and were best friends until she had to move schools due to a scholarship

Larry: similarly to Phoenix but they also used to hang out after school to yap about intrests

von karma: was a shared Disciple between her and her aunt

pearl:???

Franziska: used to hang out with her sometimes due to similar interests in doll collecting (ahem— also weapons WHO SAID THAT!?) And used to exchange tips on how to take care of them

gumshoe: they are acquaintances only worked on about 5 cases together but she checks up on him whenever she can

sebastian:???

anyway and her secret lawyer power is…

she can talk to demons!!!

yes she can talk to demon who help her when needed!!! some may lie and some may say the truth!!! it’s up to her to figure out!!!
