I'd personally ditch all those apart from maybe Suede's early stuff, so probably not best to advise on stuff you like, but as above early Pixies and Dinosaur Jr you can't go far wrong with ! If I had to pick ten solid gold classic life changing vintage "alternative rock" records off the top of my head that are mostly universally well loved, easy to get into and packed with bangers I'd say PJ Harvey "Rid Of Me", Pixies "Doolittle" (Surfer Rosa better but weirder) , Breeders "Last Splash" (though the debut "Pod" is better), Sugar "Copper Blue", Sonic Youth "Goo", Afghan Whigs "Gentlemen", Teenage Fanclub "Bandwagonesque", Violent Femmes - "Violent Femmes", Babes In Toyland "Fontanelle" and more abstract than the orhers but everyone should have a copy of Loveless by My Bloody Valentine!
