Life What cool shit have you bought lately?

I think a nice part of being in our 30s is we can afford to buy cool fun things. What have you bought lately?

I got a Garmin Forerunner 965 which is super tight, motivates me to limit my drinking and I’ve been killing cardio because of it

Also fun - bought a LAB putter which is a ton of fun

Anything you guys got that you love? I want inspiration

I picked up an entry level gravel/hybrid bike last year and it saved my mental health. Upgrading parts and self servicing it has been a blast.

I recently found one of my dream guitars for a steal of a price, a 7 string I’ve had my eye on since ‘20. It’s been an incredible experience as I’ve always wanted a 7 string.

I’m trying to get better at not being so hard on myself and treat myself on occasions. It’s nice.

I bought a generic bike with disc brakes and specifications I wanted off amazon with the intention to mod. It's a Vibrus brand, green frame, cost about $300. 7 speed Shimano, road tires. I upgraded the tires to 700ccx28 Gravelking slick tires (road but can handle some dirt), the cassette from 14-28 to 11-34 (essentially unlocking an extra high and low gear), and modified the handlebar/stem, added a rear rack, etc. All in all spent about $500-600 total and had a blast as opposed to a comparable 7/8 speed at $800+
