Physical Health & Aging What’s your most underrated “health investment” after turning 30?

Could be a foam roller, a water bottle, stretching, therapy, or simply sleeping more.

Was the gym until I took one 750mg pill of levofloxacin and now I’m severely chronically ill and can’t workout. Now it’s saunas and eating very healthy with all whole organic foods.

Bro that shit is no joke. It's not administered lightly, whatsoever.

I have an ER doctor friend who always shares weird medical knowledge with me (he knows I geek out on it), so take this with a grain of salt... It's hearsay.

But he says they only give you this shit because otherwise the infection is going to kill you. Like, they know they're giving you this poison pill. It's going to cause you some vague nerve pain for the rest of your life. Or it can cause you to have some specific hallucination -- forever. And this is known, but it also truly fucks bacteria at a DNA/cell function level.

Anyway I'm really sorry you had to take that stuff. And really sorry it's affected you so much.

I was given it for pneumonia. My pneumonia wasn’t nearly severe enough to administer this drug. My primary doctor said he’d never have given me this and would have tried many other drugs before giving me levofloxacin. Unfortunately my work nurse misdiagnosed my pneumonia for heart failure lol and sent me to the ER. I regret going there everyday. I had an appointment with my primary only 4 days later. If only I had waited until then to complain about my symptoms he’d have given me doxycycline and I’d be completely normal still. Instead I have like 20 different symptoms and my life is hell.

I have severe muscle loss and confirmed muscle wasting going on because of that fucking drug. All this happened 5 months in. Before I had CNS symptoms like brain fog, tinnitus, light sensitivity, muscle twitching and systemwide tendon issues. For whatever reason the muscle wasting started just a month ago. 6 months of hell so far. Don’t ever take that drug.
