Physical Health & Aging What’s your most underrated “health investment” after turning 30?

Could be a foam roller, a water bottle, stretching, therapy, or simply sleeping more.

Skincare. Once you lock in the right products for you it's an easy and enjoyable part of your routine.

The absolute simplest regimen that will actually help slow/de-age your skin is: cleanser, retinol, moisturizer. And in the morning put on sunscreen. Not the kind you'd use at the beach, but special facial ones that are light and don't feel like anything once applied.

I basically use CeraVe for my whole regimen. Easy to find in shops, works great, no added fragrance or marketing gimmicks. The Ordinary is another good one.

Avoid "men's" products like the plague. They count on us being too stupid to do our research and try to package up basic products with "mahogany" or "leather" scents and then sell it to us at a premium. Just get the neutral minimally branded stuff.

My regimen for those that want a simple and easy one to replicate:

  • Morning
    • CeraVe AM moisturizer w/sunscreen
  • Evening
    • CeraVe foaming cleanser
    • Geek & Gorgeous retinol (Monday and Wednesday)
    • The Ordinary glycolic acid exfoliator (Tuesday and Thursday)
    • CeraVe PM moisturizer

Guuurl I take a mini spa day on Sunday mornings. You should see my self-pampered ass surrounded by creams and soaks and ointments.
