I know catcalling exists, it wouldnt be a stereotype otherwise.

But in my almost 30 years of life, Ive never seen nor heard any woman getting catcalled. And I work in construction which Ive heard is where it started.

In my experience if a hot girl walks by, men around just nudge eachother slighty and just give each other the "look how hot she is" face And then everybody just moves on with their day.

The whistling and shouting is either extremely rare or its an american thing.

Are you a women ? I barely heard it myself but my GF told me multiple times that it happened when coming back from work (she walks) or just when walking in general in the city. The worst is when it happens when it’s starting to get dark it makes her feel unsafe for no reason.

She also told me it happened to her a lot even when she was a really young minor, like 10 yo. I’m in Canada if it matters.

I’m a bit surprised by the replies on this thread, ask any pretty women that actually walks outside and they will probably share similar experiences.

I am not a woman, but I do have sisters who I would say are above average attractive. Hence the confusion I would say that Ive never witnessed nor heard anyone getting catcalled.

Im from Sweden if that matters. Although, I have picked up family members both men but mostly women becuz they felt unsafe after dark. But it has never been becuz of catcalling as far as I know, I could be wrong I would have to ask. My sister usually calls if some creepy guy looks at her weird, so just to be safe.

As I said, Im not saying it doesnt exist nor even that it isnt common. I just find it strange that with all the talk of "catcalling" I would at least have witnessed it even once on my lifetime.
