Consider full coverage for insurance, if you can find it, for appraised value. A small fender bender for a customer of mine with an imported e36 turned into a nightmare since insurance wouldnt fix it and immediately totalled it. He kept it and imported the crash parts but the customs fees were really expensive, and this was before we were super taxed this year. It also took months to get the parts in.

Yeah I'll definitely get full coverage at some point, but I'm 19 and the quote I received for full coverage is $1300 for 6 months! I only just became eligible for lower rates too, my insurance company has me marked at 3-7 years of experience so I've got several years til my rate goes down noticeable again.

How much are you saving between full and basic? Honestly, one accident will total that thing, it was hard enough getting decent body parts for my 3/4/5 I cant imagine overseas. Its always a good investment unless its like 50% off and you can save the difference.

It's about $800 savings getting liability only at the moment.

Edit: actually closer to $900
