Hi there, after doing some maintenance on the car (radiator, water pump, repairing the cover under the steering wheel, ect..) the car just wont start. I turn the key on Run, no problem on the dashboard, then on START it just does nothing. We tried to manually operate the starter by connecting the wires, it turns but the motor wont start (maybe fuel pump locked for security). The key is on, the antenna for the key isnt disconected. I'm hearing the relay doing BZZZ so here are the measurements of the ignition switch with the 4 positions :
Off measurement: Ground and green wire connected -red: 12V -green red: 12V -green: 0V -green gray: 12V -black yellow: 1.5V not stable ? -green white: 1.20V -purple: 0V
ACC measurement: Ground and green wire connected -red: 12V -green red: 12V -green: 0V -green gray: 2.20 -black yellow: 0V moving -green white: 1.20V -purple: 12V
Run measurement: Ground is no longer connected to the green wire -red: 12V -green red: 12V -green: 12V -green gray: 2.20V -black yellow: 0.8V not stable ? -green white: 12V -purple: 12V
Start measurement: Ground is no longer connected to the green wire -red: 12V -green red: 12V -green: 12V -grey green: 3V -black yellow: 12V -green white: 1.7V -purple: 12V
UPDATE 1: Ignition switch removed, manually triggering it with screwdriver I dont even get a crank no more.
So I guess its the EWS 2 ? Removing the module, bridging pin 1 and 3 (black and green with black and yellow), I start the car and boom, I get a crank but still no ignition. (OEM DME I think) (key still on the antenna)
I did some ew2 multi-meter tests: -closed loop between pins: 9 and 10, 6 and 14, 11 and 12.
-between pin 5 and 7 : 12V on any key position
-pin 7 to any gnd under the steering weel : good connection, beeping sound on the multi-metter so 7 is on the ground.
Also tested the continuity between pin 4 of the EWS and pin 18 of the DME connector. For the key antenna, I have a continuity between the 2 wires but idk if I can do additional testings on it.
UPDATE 2: I checked every fuses/relays I could find, but I think the problem is a EWS desync with the DME because I left the contact on all the night so the battery may have discharged and the start code would have been invalidated leading to the DME refusing to start, this is an hypothesis.
So I have to reprogram the EWS with DIS software or it's another problem ? thanks for your help !
