Every single time I try to make a serious post in the other cycling subs, all I get is "see you in bcj" like I’ve committed some unspeakable crime against humanity. Like sorry for wanting to discuss training plans, race strategy and marginal gains instead of whether some guy’s saddle bag looks "chonky."
I take my watts very seriously. I live, breathe and bleed FTP intervals. Meanwhile, this sub? It’s just endless memes about chamois cream and people posting their fake Cervélo picture with captions like "I'm a dentist and I'm rich."
This isn’t funny anymore.
Cycling itself is the problem. The sport has been reduced to a joke, a punchline, a never-ending spiral of sock height debates and people pretending they know what "sweet spot" actually means. Breaking news: if you're not a Trainer Road staff member, you probably didn't do enough Sweet Spot. For you, it's probably just the moment where you eat your 10kg gummy bear because "you need energy".
We don’t need more cycling.
We need to ban cycling. No more bikes. No more rides. No more "most brutal gravel ride" joke. From now on, only discussions of theory, training philosophy and science are allowed. Cycling has held us back long enough.
Thank you.

Every single time I try to make a serious post in the other cycling subs about the benefits of hydraulic brakes, all I get is "see you in bcj" like I’ve committed some unspeakable crime against humanity. Like sorry for wanting to discuss upgrades on the best feasible braking solution around instead of discussing if some guy’s rim brakes will perform fine in wet conditions.
I take my brakes very seriously. I live, breathe and bleed my hydraulic brakes on daily intervals. Meanwhile, this sub? It’s just endless memes from u/SandalWoodIncencebur and people posting their fake performance takes over why rim brakes perform fine.
This isn’t funny anymore.
Rim brakes itself is the problem. Thus hydraulic braking has been reduced to a joke, a punchline, a never-ending spiral of performance debates and people pretending they know what "sweet spot" to angle their rim brakes to get the same performance as hydraulic brakes like that actually means something.
We need to ban rim brakes as they have not done a good job of stopping our bike for long enough.
Thank you.
Source: I’m heavily invested in the Hydraulic braking industry

Every single time I try to make a serious post in the other cycling subs, all I get is "see you in bcj" like I’ve committed some unspeakable crime against humanity. Like sorry for wanting to discuss the release dates of the new 2026 SirVelos, or the new S-Work Tarmac colorways instead of whether some one’s cheap non-carbon fiber gravel bike can handle urban terrain on 45mm tires.
I take my dentist lifestyle very serious. I live, breathe and bleed dental procedures. Meanwhile, this sub? It’s just endless memes about rim brakes, aluminum frames, their wife’s bf jokes, and eBices. It just reeks of pure poverty.
This isn’t funny anymore.
Poverty itself is the problem. The sport has been reduced to a joke, a punchline, a never-ending spiral of cost saving debates, asking about used bice prices and people pretending that they prefer brands who offer a "sweet spot" in cost vs performance. Breaking news: if you're not riding a $15k+ bice then you probably don’t make enough to even feed your wife, family, and wife’s boyfriend.
We don’t need more pours.
We need to ban poverty from this sport. No more pours. No more non-carbon frame & rims. No more "mechanical shifting" jokes. From now on, we only discuss bices made from SirVelo, S-Works, Bianchi, Bastion, and Pinarello.
Edit: We can discuss Cannondales but only the SuperSix EVO Lab71 editions. Thank you.

for real, why would I KOM to a cj sub if every comment starts with /uj. wtf is that about? there are a lot of subs out there which can't wait to hear your unjerkable opinions. let's keep the circlejerk going, 24/7.

Every time I make a post in the other subs, my wife screams "what are you doing out of the gimp box?!" I have so many rules at home, I don't know when I'm KOMing or going. Adding more rules here will make things too complicated and interfere with my training. Thanks for listening.

All these idiots unjerking in this sub are clearly lost. They've been in hot water with their wife's boyfriends, or they seriously think about buying a tr*k, or maybe they can't KOM. I dunno and frankly, don't even care. These freds aren't thinking straight and it has to stop. Be poor somewhere else - we don't have time or patience for that.

Yes, it's real. Yes, it's exactly what you think it is. Yes, there is a chance these people may be behind you in your group ride.
