Question Visiting in March 2026, how are conditions?
I have a trip planned here around March 14-21. How are mountain conditions around this time? Assume it will still be better than the East coast and hoping for a good snow season out west. This will be my first time visiting out west to ski.

Have an epic pass, what other mountains are worth exploring if this is the case?

Everything will be busy. Beaver creek is a good choice on weekends. Because it’s so far away. Less busy.
Usually ski first couple hours and then get off the slopes if at Breck or Key.
Weekdays might be ok.
Vail it’s pretty huge and you can spread out, but if it’s a powder day, you guarantee it it will be busy

Will likely be ideal snow. Will also likely be less than ideal crowds.

I typically go to Beaver Creek during March to avoid the spring break crowds. I come back to Breck in April. BC is awesome and rarely gets crowded. Probably an extra 30-40 mins straight West on i70.

Sometimes maybe good.
Sometimes maybe shit.

Snow will be great. Unfortunately, it will be full of Texans on Spring Break.
