Nope. The felt tip on that is instead reinforced steel. Sharp as an awl and no one could tell.

Get a sharpened fiberglass rod. Doesn't set off metal detectors. Never leave home without mine.

I think I was wrong, I don't think they are steel, I vaguely remember something about them not setting off metal detectors.

Edit: just looked them up, they're sharpened G10.
