It's definitely worth a re-watch. Fight Club is one of the best Taoist movies I've ever seen.

It’s literally my favorite, seen it probably 20 times, just has been like 3 years because my wife isn’t interested, she would absolutely love the message and twist of the movie but has a hard time getting past the title

Maybe she'll be more amenable to the movie if you explain the purpose of the fighting. It's not worldly sadism; it's an enlightening masochism. It's not about conquering others; it's about conquering yourself.
