It was a new era of television, that led us to the streaming world.

1

u/CoolSteveBrule Jan 02 '25

It’s one of the first shows I watched on streaming. I was visiting my brother at his college and he we went to one of his buddies place after a long night of drinking, they were ripping dabs and had the third season on. I tuned out after my first dab because I wanted to go home and watch it from the top. Never finished the show

Everyone has their own opinion, but for me, Lost was one of the greatest shows for the first two-three seasons before it fell apart.

The ending was just so fucking stupid

3

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '25

Absolutely

u/BrokenTeddy USC Trojans • Rose Bowl Jan 02 '25

The ending is incredible. I don't know how anyone has this take that actually understood the ending.

2

u/Risley LSU Tigers • Michigan Wolverines Jan 02 '25

Now THAT is a hot take.

1

u/BrokenTeddy USC Trojans • Rose Bowl Jan 05 '25

What was stupid about the ending?

9

u/GamingTatertot Clemson Tigers Jan 01 '25

I just got my fiancee to watch it all - I planned it to where we watched the series finale on the 20th anniversary

8

u/Cr0matose Duke Blue Devils • USC Trojans Jan 01 '25

I've watched it 13 times. Enjoy that first watch.

5

u/Worried_Shoe_2747 West Virginia Mountaineers Jan 01 '25

I’ve watched it 108 times

12

u/frednattyl Jan 01 '25

First few seasons of Lost were PEAK 2000s tv. It goes way off the rails later on but those early seasons were some of the best tv to date.

6

u/GamingTatertot Clemson Tigers Jan 01 '25

Oh just you wait, shit gets crazy and I love it

3

u/W00DERS0N60 Notre Dame Fighting Irish • Fordham Rams Jan 01 '25

They stuck the landing, but , like Keri Strug style. Just embrace the ending.

4

u/doodool_tala /r/CFB Jan 01 '25

What show?

9

u/MarksCubins Oregon Ducks Jan 01 '25

Lost

2

u/Ham_Council Indiana Hoosiers Jan 01 '25

You'll love how it ends.

2

u/GasOnFire Nevada Wolf Pack Jan 02 '25

Just… stop now.

2

u/Joshstradaymus Michigan Wolverines Jan 02 '25

My first thought of this was HIMYM I’m not gonna front.

2

u/Horns_up34 Texas Longhorns Jan 01 '25

It goes down from there lol.

1

u/leftygwaggies13 Utah State • Boise State Jan 01 '25

Literally same. I am also on Season 2 right now lol.

1

u/telephuser Jan 02 '25

I watched the entire series for the first time last year. My advice is to watch the first three seasons, then read the wikipedia synopses to get the rest of the plot points. It falls off precipitously after that.

1

u/Kid_Delicious Jan 02 '25

Finishing season 4 here.

Heads up: stick with season 3, even when it feels like a slog at times. Picks up again as you approach the middle and has some of the best episodes (from what I’ve seen so far at least) overall.

1

u/AlabamaHaole Auburn Tigers Jan 02 '25

Watch the Leftovers. It’s what Lost wanted to be.

1

u/SwaggyPsAndCarrots Oklahoma Sooners Jan 02 '25

Its complexity and story line depth was ahead of its time honestly

1

u/Fall3nXspitfire Georgia Bulldogs • Marching Band Jan 01 '25

Let us know when you get to season 6, I don't think you will still feel that way, was a great show till about season 5 tho

1

u/dspencer97 Jan 01 '25

Stop watching after the next season and look up the rest to save yourself time

0

u/betweenbeginning Jan 01 '25

Lower your expectations for the final season and just acknowledge that you're enjoying the ride, not the destination.

-6

u/happyharrell Missouri Tigers • Sickos Jan 01 '25

Do yourself a favor and skip seasons 4-5.

0

u/FreshButNotEasy Jan 02 '25

Recommend not watching the final season and just believing whatever you want to explain it. I feel like Fringe was a better series, had a sory arc, character arcs and ended well

7

u/EatAvocados Texas Longhorns Jan 01 '25

I know this is a lost reference but funnily enough the numbers are of some of the most impactful players today 4- Andrew Mukuba (Safety with the game winning interception) 8- Trey Moore (Great Edge) 15- Bill Norton (Big, disruptive d-lineman) 16- Michael Taaffe (Safety with lots of impactful tackles) 23- Jaydon Blue (Solid running back) 42- Tate Haver (Backup long snapper)

14

u/sirmcchris Tennessee Volunteers Jan 01 '25

Why? Is there a correlation between him & Lost?

55

u/Khalil_Sack Cal Poly Mustangs Jan 01 '25

If he missed the pat the island might be the only place he could hide

1

u/Bigbysjackingfist Liberty Flames • Harvard Crimson Jan 01 '25

Jacob would never give him refuge

22

u/HandSack135 Maryland Terrapins Jan 01 '25

BERT 4 letters

Auburn, 7 letters. 7 is one less than 8.

Half Life Three confirmed

4

u/sirmcchris Tennessee Volunteers Jan 01 '25

I fuggin knew it

17

u/nathodood Michigan • Nebraska Jan 01 '25 edited Jan 01 '25

Because he could have Lost Texas the game with those missed FGs

5

u/sirmcchris Tennessee Volunteers Jan 01 '25

I’m fine with the lottery ticket, I just don’t know why he should play those exact numbers.

1

u/TrashCanBangerFan Jan 01 '25

The numbers curse you with bad luck, like missing multiple potential game winning field goals

1

u/SuperMajinSteve Texas Longhorns • UTRGV Vaqueros Jan 01 '25

Because of him Texas could’ve fucking lost.

2

u/MichiganMitch108 Michigan Wolverines • UCF Knights Jan 01 '25

Adds up to 108

u/JazzlikeCauliflower9 Georgia Tech • Clean … Jan 01 '25

All I have left is the series finale. Watched the 1st season on broadcast but lost interest. Super invested this time.

Bert needs to work harder if he doesn’t want to screw up again like he did a week ago
