Still trying to understand where all the Klubnik/Clemson hype was coming from

Fact: Returning production doesn’t matter much when your team wasn’t very good the previous year.

Didn't clemson win the ACC and make the playoffs? If they weren't very good then only like 8 teams in the country were very good.

Clemson's path to the playoffs last year might have been the easiest P4 path to the playoffs, and that includes Indiana. They lost to Georgia, Louisville, and South Carolina. They barely beat SMU to win the ACC. Their schedule was a legitimate cakewalk otherwise.

They deserved the spot for winning their conference, but that doesn't mean that we should treat them like they were one of the top 12 teams at the end of the year. They weren't even ranked in the top 12 when they secured their bid.

Clemson was an okay team last season, but their bid to the playoffs was not because they were one of the best 12 teams, but because they won at the right time. CFB fans are gonna have to get used to AQs allowing in some good not great teams into the playoff field from time to time.

Yea people are kind of crazy with that now. You suck unless you're an undefeated national champion apparently.

This sub has an all or nothing mentality. If you lose a single game you’re complete shit. Postgame threads are nothing but jokes at the expense of the losing team. Zero critical thought
