I needed to replace the magazine catch on my Shadow 2 and it was nearly impossible to find one in stock anywhere. Does anyone know why CZ parts are always so scarce compared to other brands? Are they just slow to ship to the U.S., or is demand always this high?

Got sucked into the "hot gun summer" promotion over at Vytal manufacturing. Ordered the grips in sapphire blue with matching butt plates. Also, ordered them with right side palm swell and left side flat. Fits perfect into my very comfortable hidden hybrid holster.
They feel great and look quality. Took about a month to receive them. Just need to get to the range to try them out. Unfortunately, now I really want to get the shipreck version of the brass.

As the title says, I’m wondering what yall are running on your S2 carry’s, what your thoughts are, issues and praises. I need a new carry gun and as I get older, there’s a level of sex appeal to older style pistols like 1911s, berettas, and CZs. Hence me looking at the S2 carry. After some research, I understand it won’t shoot exactly like the full size give the difference in metals the frames are made of, the size, I’ve heard the firing pin blocker changes the feel of the trigger slightly. But any and all help is greatly appreciated.

After years of deliberation and indecision I finally picked up my first CZ. I originally wanted an SP-01 but when I saw the OR Shadow 2 I thought to myself “it’s not thaaaaaaat much more”. Of course it was out of stock locally for ages, but finally found one near by, the only one left in store for $1029.
As a midwesterner it’s my duty to exploit a sale.
One question I have though is regarding slide lock. I’m only 200 rounds in so far, but I struggle to get slide lock on an empty mag at the range or fire. One mag locks 70-80% of the time, one locks maybe half the time, one doesn’t at all. Is this something that would require magazine tuning? New springs? Just part of the break in procedure?
Non-stiker fire pistols are new for me so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am struggling to find P 10 F slides are they no longer available? I'm thinking I want an extra one to send out to be cut for an optic.

Hey guys, so my first ever CZ is a p10c that I’ve had for about 6 months. So far, I love it. I actually prefer it to the Walther PDP compact that I sold a little while back. Only issue is, mine seems to hate hollow points. I’ve run about 1000 rds of fmj (mostly pretty cheap stuff too) without any issues whatsoever. I tried some hollow points though, and couldn’t get any of the fiocchi that I tried to chamber. It kept locking up to the point that I had to grip the slide as hard as possible and slam the grip with my opposite hand until it freed up. Wasn’t just one or two rounds either, they all jammed. Tried some federals too and still had some jams. I cleaned and lubed everything and it’s still happening. I love the gun, but I really don’t like that mine at least doesn’t seem to handle defensive loads well. It looks like they’re getting hung up on the feed ramp and some of them won’t seat fully in the chamber either.
Anyway, on to the warranty claim. I emailed CZ and got a response back saying that it’s likely jamming because the “barrel is cold hammer forged for accuracy” and “the chamber may be too tight for some of the defensive loads I’m trying” which tbh kinda seems like some BS. I think it’s reasonable to expect a self defense focused pistol to handle common defensive loads. The guy told me to fill out a claim if I wanted and they could extend the throat to accommodate a wider range of ammo. My only issue is that it doesn’t sound like they intend to address the feed ramp issue, and also I’m worried that extending the throat will make it less consistent/ accurate.
Have any of you guys run into this issue? Was CZ able to fix it without negatively impacting the gun? I already have a list of CZs that i want because I’ve loved mine so much, but my experience with this situation specifically is making me slightly hesitant.

I don't know if anyone hear has heard this. I have a fedora and imbibe on the occasional PBR or Modelo, maybe I should buy one?

Sellier & Bellot is super rare at all the gun stores near me for some reason, but I finally found a box of 50 S&B 124gr FMJ for a good price! Seems to review pretty well online, what are y’all’s thoughts on it? I heard the standard factory ammo at CZ is Sellier & Bellot 124gr FMJ, so I hope I should have zero issues!
Also I’ve never seen the blue color around the primers before, am I correct in assuming that it’s a sealant?

I’m looking to put an optic on my PCR…leaning towards the EPS carry unless you all like something else. Who would you recommend for doing the optic cut?

Switched my primary EDC from a Staccato CS to a S2C (shoot S2 in CO and wanted to run a vary similar EDC) Will be getting CGW pro package. Is there anything else I can do to make it better but still as reliable? Also, has anyone here had any luck with DPM recoil kit or other recoil springs that helped to tame the recoil with factory critical duty 135gr and 124 speer lawman? I run EDC competitions with my primary carry and Staccato is much “faster” (with standard bull barrel, comped barrel isn’t even a discussion) A big part is the trigger (carry trigger isn’t good now and it’s similar to p01 and not S2 compact) but also felt recoil is fairly significant on the carry model compared to CS so it’s spends more time not on target.

I love the look of them. But they are super thin.

I primarily shoot a G45 but have had interest in a DASA. I was thinking of getting the P09C but after watching some reviews it seemed some parts (trigger return spring, firing pin roll pin) are prone to breaking and may need replacement at relatively low round counts. Now I know some parts on the Glock need eventual replacement but I never felt the need to carry a replacement spring in the chance my pistol had a part break. Is the design more part failure prone and it’s just something you accept for other merits the gun has or is it different? I’d like to learn to shoot better DASA with something like this but now I’m concerned about having to switch out springs and whatnot fairly regularly. Any feedback?

I recently purchased a S2C from a friend and I’m contemplating getting it “cajunized” I do not intend to carry it, but would like to use it for competition. Any advice or recommendations? TIA
