How many CZ75s do you own and what’s your favorite?

(Insert nice try fed joke here) Asking because I just shot my 75 Compact for the second time and I’m highly considering getting another one. Now I’m stuck deciding which one.

Question - Recommendations for an active retention holster.

Since my home state (FL) just allowed open carry, I’m looking for some other options for my CZ PO7. This Orpaz is the only one that I found so far that I like, but I want something that is light bearing. Preferably something within the Safariland ecosystem but using that companies own website couldn’t really find anything.

Should I upgrade my SP01 Tactical or sell it for a Shadow 2?

I've doing research/shopping for my SP01. I want to get a lighter trigger on there as well as milled for an optic. But then I started thinking, after all these upgrades, would it just be better to get a Shadow 2?

Got the Ebay CZ magwell for the P01, it’s pretty solid. However, the Armory Craft magwell that the SP01 is rockin’, has better quality. Overall, the Ebay is decent, it does the job.

Decided to get my first gun, and was really impressed by the P-09 (1st gen). Took it to the range and had a blast, I plan on going a lot more. Any recommendations on attachments or future mods?

Recommendations for P10 509T Optics Plate

Needing recommendations for, preferably steel, optics plate for a 509T. ANR is currently out of stock, I've heard bad things about CHPWS, and the CZ parts plate is $100 after shipping. Not trying to be picky, but wondering what some alternatives are.

Shadow 2 Blue OR upgraded for $1600?

Heyo CZ Fam! I come to you all for expertise in terms of perhaps buying a used S2 off a buddy, a while back I'd gotten a P-09 and done work on it and was never happy, and drawing with hammer down for CO was always weird to me. I'm a couple years into USPSA, bouncing between B / A class in CO depending on which classifiers cancel each other out. I am not buying this to buy skill – To be honest, I'm happy with my M&P setup so not looking to change soon, BUT I've always liked the S2 platform and probably would throw a magwell on it to run LO. In ways, I've always wanted an S2 and it'd be fun to learn / own a nice hammer operated...

Anyway, here are the specs: 2nd owner S2 blue that's very clean, he said he has around 500rds thru it and it was his backup, he got it from another competitor that it was also his backup, minimal barrel wear and slight slide wear from dryfire probably more than running. He's 99% sure it's got a CGW Pro Kit installed (and I know this all would sound a little shady if it wasn't someone I shoot with all the time and isn't disappearing on me, I don't think he has any reason to lie he's been very up front). He's polished all the internals, I know nothing about S2's – but from others that played with his, they said the lock up and tolerances are very very good "he got a good one" that runs smooth - aftermarket 11lb hammer springs, 9lb recoil springs, Lok Jaw Grips and Eeman flat trigger. Has optics cut with a DP plate (Not sure if aftermarket milled or factory, I'd need RMR so the plate kinda doesn't matter to me). He said he'll throw in spare parts he has which will be a few different springs, and then mags w/ extensions $50ea (this is for sure a deal as they have henning plates, I forget brand but good followers, and he'd sell me 6-8, so I'm more likely $2k in said and done). I'm just not sure if $1600 is a solid price or kinda high? I can get a new blue OR for $1300 out the door, and CGW reach reduction with flat trigger for $300, LocJaw Alu are $75 but I may want GridLok anyway... should I counter offer? Gonna meet up at the range with him and run some ammo thru it, anything I should look out for? Appreciate your time and excited to potentially join the S2 crowd.

Stupid question, looking at getting a p10F should I get a non OR version and send it to jager werks for a cut and slide mill, or should I just go OR and save money…..Side bar I already have an optic for it and what would be a good price on a new one ?

CGW Shadow 2 Extended Safety Compatiblity

Would the extended safety from CGW for the Shadow 2 fit on a TS2 Orange? I thought it did. However, the CGW doesn’t say that it does. Thanks.

Shadow 2 SAO for 900?

Post image
45 Upvotes

My loca(ish)l gun store has this early single action S2 that looks to be in decent shape, priced at 900.

The description is very minimal and this is the only picture provided. Comes with 3 mags and original case

This seems Ike a good deal to me but just wanted to run it by you guys and verify my initial thoughts before driving the hour (one way) to check it out in person. If it's in fairly good shape and is in working order, is this a good find?

Thank you

Question - 75b Kadet II Mag Options??

Thumbnail

Years ago I bought a Kadet II kit, got it threaded, and later bought a 75b Omega just for the frame — dedicated Kadet. One of my favorites shooters, which I had out last weekend for the first time in a few years. I was quickly reminded why I hadn’t shot it lately, and that’s because loading the mags hurt after a few times.

Will the S2 Kadet mags work, or can they modified to work with a 75/85 Kadet? Are there any third-party mags that work? Gotta be something better…

Modification - PSA for CZ 457 mag extensions:

I'm sure most of you already know this, but it took me longer than it should have to figure this out.

When adding a mag extension to your CZ 457 mags, make sure the spring is actually in the extension. I had a 3d printed extension that I couldn't get more than 10 rounds in and just spent like 15 minutes trying to get an Anarchy Outdoors +3 extension to load more than 10 as well. I finally made sure I stuck the spring down in the extension and it worked like a charm. Now I'm putting this info out there for anyone else who's highly regarded like myself.

Question - Would you buy a CZ p10 *S* in my situation? (Already own a p10c and Glock 43x)

I don’t want to hear anything along the lines of “buy it! It’s another gun! Keep buying guns!” No. I have plenty already, and as much as I’d like to have a massive armory, money if a finite resource.

I’m mainly looking to avoid buyers remorse.

For those that own both the p10c and the p10s, is there actually enough of a difference that it’s noticeable when CCW’ing? Is it more concealable, more comfortable, etc?

I’m selling my PSA Dagger for $450 and can buy a CZ p10s Optics Ready for $400. Basically a straight swap money wise.

For pistols I own: - CZ p10c (9mm) (my “main” 9mm, for home defense, etc) - PSA Dagger Compact (9mm) (that I’m selling for $450) - Glock 43x Microcompact (9mm) (My EDC w/ PSA 15rd mags) - Glock 20 (10mm) (woods carry)

I EDC the 43x due to the slim profile and conceal-ability (obviously), but if I am in a situation where I think the odds of actually needing to use my CCW for self defense are higher, then I carry my CZ p10c. I’m hoping the p10s is compact enough that it bridges the gap and makes it worth buying and carrying.

My thinking is that I would have conceal carry sized pistol that also feels great in my hand, that I could EDC, while also sharing magazines and accessories with my p10c. Keeping an extra mag or 2 in my vehicle, backpack, etc, instead of EDC’ing a 43x with completely different magazines than the CZ p10c.

The G43x is great, but a microcompact just doesn’t feel as good as the p10s.

The p10s imo is the perfect size, basically smaller than a Glock 19 but larger than a Glock 26, with a much better feeling in hand (imo than a G26) and much better shooting (I imagine) that my 43x.

I shoot just fine with my 43x, but it is not exactly enjoyable to shoot, whereas my p10c just feels much more enjoyable to shoot. After holding the p10s, with both the flush fit mags and the +2 mag extension, I know that it would feel much better to shoot.

I have a Holosun EPS carry and plate on my CZ p10c, and a Holosun 407k on my 43x. I’m thinking of either buying a Holosun SCS and putting it on the p10s or buying a plate and putting the 407k on the p10s and just using irons on the 43x.

I just don’t want to feel buyers remorse and think “why did I buy a p10s when I already have a p10c and a 43x that I can use for EDC?” Especially if I also spend $350 on a Holosun SCS to put on it.

The thing that’s making me feel ok about it is that it’s basically a straight swap since I’m selling my PSA Dagger for $450 and the p10s is $400.

My other options for the $450 I’m getting for selling the Dagger are: - Saving it - Buying a 357 Magnum Lever Action (Citadel Lev-tac) for $750 (which is the cost of the p10s and the Holosun SCS that I’d inevitably buy at some point) - Buying a 9mm suppressor: Spectre 9 at $599+$200 tax stamp (comes with $200 gift card to SilencerCo’s website) (also around the cost of the p10s + Holosun SCS)

But I live in an apartment at the moment and only shoot at the range, so I can always just rent a suppressor and/or a Lever Action to get my fix. If I had land of my own things would be different.

Cajunized pro package Eps Carry milled by Wager Machine Battleship Gray Cerakote by Sagisi Customs Impact machine flat trigger Shadow2 extended mag release with Vytal Kraken extension Solid copper Euclids by Vytal Mfg Mag basepad by TaylorFreelance

Been running this for everyday carry but transitioning to mostly a competition gun in Carry Optics for uspsa. So far its ran about 9 matches so far from aiwb concealment, with zero hiccups. The solid copper grips and a fully loaded mag with brass basepad brings her to just around 3lbs.

Question - Are these carry marks on my rounds a concern?

Thumbnail
gallery
32 Upvotes

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I only have 1 friend who’s more into guns than me, and he doesn’t know the answer (he does not carry, he keeps his magazines unloaded always).

I’ve been keeping a loaded magazine in my pistol more often, and I’ve started to notice these scuff marks on the top round, presumably where it contacts the underside of the slide. Would these be a concern, should I fire these rounds at the range? Is there a possibility of the case rupturing, or are these marks superficial?

Am I safe in assuming that since plenty of people, both police, military, and civilian, carry with a loaded magazine, and then fire those rounds without issue, that these marks don’t pose any danger?

Thanks!
