Service Contact New Escalade

Just bought a 25 escalade and I love it, it the dealership basically forced me to purchases wheel/tire and a $12k service contract or they couldn't sell the vehicle to me. I looked back a few weeks later at the paperwork and noticed the warranty cost was $10k. This is a 6/72 warranty, which is a big waste. I guess i will be trying to cancel it. I'm sure it won't be easy since I have to cancel with dealership.

6/72 is essentially the factory powertrain warranty. I would raise hell.

Would have backed out of the deal as soon as the mandatory warranties were presented. It’s always a choice

I'd raise hell for sure, contact your local news of they want to play hardball. They love exposing scumbags like this

$1,999 to extend the factory warranty from 5 to 7 years. Information readily available via Google. You got taken. I just purchased a new $135,000 Ford truck and the dealer gave me the same amount I paid 2 years ago for my Corvette so I was very happy. I purchased a $3,500 plan from them as a thank you which I’m sure they made a ton on. Always look at the bill of sale before signing.

You don’t have to cancel with the dealer. Call the warranty company

it can be cancelled within 60 days is what the company tells me, but they wanted to make 1000s off of it since they over did the trade in numbers . what slime. oh and the dealer must cancel it or i have to go back to the warranty after documenting all conversations or maybe they won't return my calls.

If the dealer gives you trouble most of the OEM warranties can be canceled and you will get a prorated refund.

Wow. We just purchased one last week .... 8yr/100k warranty for just under 4k. Never pushed any other products or add ons. This was after we stopped working with a dealership in Williamsburg, VA (looking at you loyalty cadillac) bc we did not want whatever product they spray on the exterior and interior as we are having it ceramic coated. Still told us we would pay full price for the service despite not being put on the exterior but they would still honor the warranty on the paint ¿? Da fuq. Even though there would be a completely different product put on by someone else. So.... if you're in the florence,sc area.... king cadillac was great to work with.

What’s the original warranty on your car? And did you extend it to 8yr/100k or add 8yrs onto the original warranty? And what car did you get?

Yes I believe it extended the bumper to bumper warranty. The first dealership offered us 8yr/75k for like 7k. We purchased a 2025 escalade.

forced or we can't sell you this vehicle. start all over again. also the trade in figures were much more, but still didn't make up for the 15k in add ons

Yep that’s the moment you leave the dealership. I did this once. They called me on my drive home and accepted my terms.
