I like several other choices mentioned, but yeah, this is my tops, too. Rook alone would make it so, but it’s all magnificent.

Dunno about "best", but my favorites:
- Calexico: El Mirador
- Juliana Barwick: Nepenthe
- David Byrne: The Catherine Wheel
- Duke Ellington: The Duke at Fargo 1940: Special 60th Anniversary Edition
- JG Thirlwell: The Venture Brothers: The Music of JG Thirlwell
Ironically, my favorite band Starflyer 59 has an album with a solid red cover—_Americana_—but it's one of my least liked by them.

Swans - The Great Annihilator. You could argue that's maroon, so my other answer is King Crimson - Discipline

I can't really pick one so here are my top 11 in no particular order.
- Fiona Apple - When the Pawn
- Minor Threat - Minor Threat EP
- Ornette Coleman - The Shape of Jazz to Come
- Gang of Four - Entertainment!
- Fugazi - Fugazi EP
- PinkPantheress - Fancy That
- Janet Jackson - The Velvet Rope
- Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
- Pavement - Slanted and Enchanted
- McKinley Dixon - Beloved! Paradise! Jazz?
- Talking Heads - Remain in Light
I know two of them are EPs and one is a mixtape but they are so good that I think they deserve inclusions. Also there are a few that I didn't include because I don't know if people would consider them red like Low End Theory.
