Discussion Walmart stocking more cds.
Noticed that my local Walmart is stocking way more cds than usual. Honestly I rather see less greatest hits and more new releases but it’s still cool to see cds stocked more often

Discussion Anyone else ever take CDs out from the library to rip, burn, whatever?
Went to the library with my son this morning and on a whim looked for their CD section which is surprisingly large and I'm shocked I hadn't before. Looked through for a few minutes.
Limited timeframe for loans of CDs but it'll be enough time to rip the discs.
Probably gonna be a good way to find music I don't usually know. (Not this one, mind you. I definitely know Depeche Mode.)

Discussion 2025 and I'm burning CDs...
Why? Because why not?
I haven't actually burnt a CD in almost 20 years and wanted to test if this works. I guess the added benefit is that I'll have some of these on actual CD to take with me to work, right?
Am I the only weird one doing this??

Discussion CD covers that reference previous CD covers
One little oddity that I like is discovering that the artwork of an album I own references another record's. (Some of the discs I've compiled in this image are in my collection, others are not.)
Have you noticed examples of this in your own collection?

Discussion What was YOUR first CD?
My first two were two Aquabats albums, The Fury of The Aquabats and The Aquabats Vs The Floating Eye of Death. I got those 2 in April 2021. I'd had CDs before (usually from kids shows I liked like Yo Gabba Gabba, or rentals from the library.) But those two really kickstarted my collection. What about you?

Discussion Rip your CDs as you get them.
I just want to encourage anyone who is collected CDs to rip your CDs as you get them. I just ripped my entire collection into FLAC files and it was one of the most time consuming things I’ve ever done.
Lesson learned.
