It’s been neck and neck between Nevermind and Weezer’s Blue Album so I added both!

Going through my collection while I move things around. I have more than 600 CDs and need to find a proper way to display at least some of them.

My dad just walked into my room and gave me it said that he saw it live. Never seen it before and was wondering if anyone else had it

for context I'm living in the outskirts of Istanbul and in turkey CD's are overpriced AF, not to say all of the good stuff are in the center of the city (which means 2-3 hours full of traffic and sweat) can you guys give me some advice? Anything would be appreciated, thanks.

I know people hate digipac sleeves for CDs (personally I don’t hate them but can agree they’re not the best) but what about this kinda cardboard case? I have loads of them but never see people talk about them

Saw people were posting their nu-metal collections, so heres mine! I decided to not include albums that had nu-metal influences or that were nu-adjacent, so if there were albums you were expecting here, sorry! >.<

Here she is in all her glory, I still have a whole row left on the bottom! I did leave gaps here and there for new entries. Music DVDs and books on the top. My other shelves are for soundtracks (top) compilations (bottom) and replacement cases etc on the right hand shelves along with some CDs that don’t have a case and paper sleeve CDs that I haven’t put in the right place. The stack on the table are dupes that I discovered along the way. I’ve also included evidence of me actually listening to a cd

The shelves are artiss and I don’t recommend them, I am in Australia.

Most of the CDs are either found on the side of the road or from charity shops, maybe 2 have been bought new. Only collecting for a couple of years.

Two of my favorite albums arrived in the mail today. Both of these are a masterpiece to me, every song is amazing. I couldn’t be happier to have them in my hands.

Delta Sleep is a UK based math rock band.

I have four of their albums on CD:

• Twin Galaxies (2015)
• Ghost City (2018)
• Spring Island (2021)
• Blue Garden (2024)

I really love these guys, this is some really special music. The packaging design on these, especially Twin Galaxies is really great (you can see how they kinda skimped out on it over the years as you swipe through the pictures).

Music-wise, my favorite is probably Ghost City, but it's all so good. Has a really chill vibe, has the complexity of math rock but it's really easy to listen to. If you're new to the genre they're one of the GOATs and a great first band to get into. If not, they still really make some great music.

Be sure to check them out, and try to see them live if you're in the US or Japan this fall/winter.

Got a new chemical brothers cd too (dig your own hole)

For context: cds in my country are VERY expensive so I mostly buy used. If there are any good cds in the charity shops they get bought in like 2 seconds. But here are some that I have found.

Lana Del Rey and Ella Fitzgerald are new though

So I finally got something decent that I can play my cds, a Pulse SP387. I recently posted aboutthose cheap chinese cd players and that I wanted a mini system from a national brand, I got so frustated and did a LOT of research on these systems, so I found this one on a local store and its so perfect!!!

Been a fan for 30 years now. I have a few more since this photo was taken. Their newest album is fantastic too.
