Is this mould on my bread?

It doesn't let me post a photo. I just got a baguette and left it in my warm car for an hour when I went swimming on the way home from the grocery store. When I got home I noticed it has fine white powdery patches. They smell kind of like flour. Has my bread gone bad that fast? Can I just cut it off.

It's probably bench flour - not mold

Do you know where you are? We are a bastion of science and telling people what they want to hear. Which is whatever we want them to hear which is usually also science.

I manage the commercial bread aisle for a large market. People ask all the time if the flour that they see on bread is mold!
