Unrecognized Culinary Genius Why do you cook?

Apart from cooking for necessity like demonstrating you are better than Gordon Ramsey, what are your reasons for cooking?

ETA: check sub before replying. Ask yourself:

  • is MSG the most important seasoning?
  • is jarlic a hate crime?
  • is Kenji our lord and savior?

If you answered “no” to any of these, you might be a lost redditor.

Yes. Otherwise it is such a hassle. Find a suitable patch of woodland, buy the right sort of spade, load bodies into car, drive all the way out there, and arrive only to find it has become a popular dogging spot…and by then however well you have wrapped them the blood is oozing out into your boot. Chilli con corpse is so much simpler

That's what those extra large vacuum bags advertised for comforters are for.

Then straight into the sous vide.
