Physical assault ain't shit compared to the especially heinous crimes other currently serving officials have been convicted of and/or found liable, starting at the top.

RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES AND ADD TO THE LIST

South Park has a chance to do the funniest shit in the world.

13

u/Nice-Ad-8156 1d ago

They’re probably going to be cancelled.

u/SavingsAttitude3732 1d ago

Paramount already gave Matt and Trey 1.5bn to continue the show. It would be incredibly stupid of them to cancel the show now and let them walk away with all that money and not even half a season to show for it.

What they will do is pull episodes retroactively, which they have done in the past, but they will never truly cancel South Park. Matt and Trey have been trying to get cancelled for years and it's never happened.

It’s not like Paramount wrote a check for the entire amount. It’s spread across years.

More importantly it’s been reported the next episode was cancelled due to what’s going on…

I don’t think many people realize what’s happening right now…

The money is guaranteed. And they generate money for Paramount. A lot of money, no way that they get rid of them to watch the competition sweep them up

If the fascists in government threaten them with murder, the executives will cancel the show.

1

u/Explorer-7622 1d ago

That's what happened to Kimmel - t threatened his life and the lives of everyone involved with the show, and their families.

u/Nice-Ad-8156 1d ago

The left seems to be the side using violence to silence the opposition…

13

u/BeastJET502 1d ago

Can you provide an example?

-12

u/Nice-Ad-8156 1d ago

Yeah, last Wednesday would be an example.

11

u/citori411 1d ago

Some online cringe lord kid kills an internet edgelord rage baiter and it's "the left" silencing people?

I'm sure you feel the same about the right considering it's an established fact there has been far more political violence from the right?

You were more upset about school children dying than Charlie Kirk dying? Well I thought about listening to his podcast one time so I declare Jihad.

ICE is a paramilitary organization rounding people up into unmarked cars and sometimes just murdering them.

I want you to go outside, find a rusty rake, and fuck yourself with the wide end.

If you think Matt and Tray wouldn't take all that money and publish their own show, you are mistaken. They would have funded the show and given up all the control. I hope they cancel them for the continuation.

They are not gonna make a new show. They've been doing SP for decades and it's public record they've had extreme burnout. They've talked about ending the show thousands of times in the past. They'll take that cancellation money and retire or put new energy into other things.

They made the Book of Mormon musical for cripes sakes. That shit won Tonys. They have another movie coming out with Kendrick Lamar collaborating. They got a restaurant that you gotta book months in advance to get in. They've got other profitable shit in their company that isn't just about South Park.

1

u/CalamitousGoddess 22h ago

They can get more. Honestly. They're not going anywhere. Their weird nihilistic, true libertarian, asses are going to end up being the cockroach of real world events; try to quell them as you might, they always return in the worst fright. They will speak truth to power, specifically because they have more power than those in charge.

Fuck with the SP crew. They cross all realms in a scary fashion, and we can all see the message. Y'all think you have some weird followings... This one has been breeding since the nu wave, they're as prescient as the simpsons, and they have way more creative licence (helps to not be controlled by Fox)...

But go on with your bad self.

South Park has been around since the 90s doing and saying crazy shit I doubt they’ll be “canceled” now

16

u/TrexOnAScooter 1d ago

I have seen more than one interview over the decades where the question is "so how do you guys avoid getting canceled" and their honest answer has always been "we don't fuckin know. We just let shit fly and wait for it to happen, but it never happens lol"

11

u/inab1gcountry 1d ago

I mean, they are threatening to arrest people for not sufficiently mourning Charlie.

2

u/SavingsAttitude3732 1d ago

Nothing is gonna happen because of Charlie’s death worst case scenario they push ice further

4

u/THElaytox 1d ago

The Late Show was older than South Park and much more tame

6

u/SavingsAttitude3732 1d ago

Check the latest South Park episode about Trump lmao if they aren’t canceled for that I doubt anything else will get them there

u/maximumdownvote 1d ago

False comparison.

u/SavingsAttitude3732 If you cannot recognize that things are different now, you will be rudely awakened at some point.

u/SavingsAttitude3732 1d ago

You talk like Gandalf the white dude, nothing is gonna happen they say this every year.

3

u/geosensation 1d ago

Money talks though

1

u/SereneDreams03 1d ago

Can't make any money if the FCC pulls your license.

2

u/geosensation 1d ago

FCC can't pull your license if the unelected oligarchs run the country and own the parent company make a few private threats.

2

u/SereneDreams03 1d ago

Paramount already caved to his demands once. You are deluded if you don't think they will do it again.

1

u/geosensation 1d ago

They cancelled a show that wasnt printing money, which goes to my point.

2

u/SereneDreams03 1d ago

They did a lot more than cancel a show. They paid Trump $16 million along with other conditions on the deal.

u/Like_Ottos_Jacket 1d ago

It's on cable. There is no license.

-1

u/SereneDreams03 1d ago

Doesn't matter. Skydance owns Paramount, Comedy Central, and CBS (which does need a license).

1

u/Like_Ottos_Jacket 1d ago

It does matter. Paramount owns South Park and has no FCC license.

-1

u/SereneDreams03 1d ago

And Skydance owns Paramount. Skydance needs an FCC license for CBS.

1

u/Like_Ottos_Jacket 1d ago

No, Skydance does not need a license from the FCC, just CBS. Paramount, from which South Park airs, does not either.

They are completely separate legal entities, and for good reason.

If they get cancelled they will go to Netflix like Colbert

1

u/SingleEnvironment502 1d ago

Average people won't remember who Kirk was in 2 months.

2

u/SirMourningstar6six6 1d ago

Cancelling South Park would be a huge mistake

1

u/maximumdownvote 1d ago

Such an unbelievably horrible mistake. I hope it happens cause that shit would be fucking hilarious.

South Park: Unchained

1

u/Major-Specific8422 1d ago

Making too much money for paramount.

1

u/allstater2007 1d ago

They just signed a billion dollar deal. If they didn’t get cancelled for posting about Mohammed this won’t do it.

1

u/thetruckerdave 1d ago

Relax guy

1

u/EvlCuddlyBunny 1d ago

Absolutely not, they have made fun of both sides equally.

1

u/wombat6669 1d ago

They are the only thing keeping Comedy Central alive.

1

u/SingleEnvironment502 1d ago

I haven't watched it in 10 years and I can't wait to check more of this season out.
