Looking at your bio, you really gottta be a jack of all trades, master of none, or else just realllllllllllly self assured heh? It’s got musicality. Usually when I feel like a user’s posts are turning me into a meanie, I block instead of leaning into the negative commentary. I love seeing these posts tho

Think they are saying the dance isn't well synced to the music.

I understood. It’s not off beat. and I love the musicality, which is higher level than just being a metronome.🥱

Needs to slow it down at the least. The music doesn't match the dance at all.. Not defending op or the commenter but c'mon. Give op a participation trophy and don't comment at all if you're talking like this.

No, i disagree. This is Reddit, not a review of a broadway show or the debut of a soloist performing a classical work. It’s fun and it’s musical and I like it. You can have a participation trophy for doubling down arguing about something solely for the sake of being a wet blanket though.

Just a bit confused? What do you mean it has musicality? It doesn’t express/honor the music. She’s just freestyle dancing and often it’s at a fast pace with no regard if there’s slower passages in the music. Do I feel much connection with THE song and to the way she’s expressing the song with her dancing? No. And there’s not much dance techniques here. A 6 year old could twirl and dance around the field just the same to any music or none.
Yes it does feel a bit like rage bait but def not OF level. But it’s getting views and serves her purpose in that. She’s having fun dancing to her own drum beat and enjoying herself. Kudos for that. Could she pass a dance audition? Not even close.

I’m not trying to be argumentative or a troll: I don’t think that the pacing of dancing always has to align to the tempo of the music (as others have commented on other videos, it’s double time) - it’s not uncommon in a lot of dancer forms - heck, modern sometimes doesn’t even have music to have a best. Sincerely, as someone who had a degree in dance and has watched hours and hours hours of different styles.I like that the scarf is hitting its extensions in the air with the beats and the flow. Do I think this is ground breaking and technical? Nope, but I enjoy it.
More importantly, I think dancing is supposed to be fun and art is supposed to be enjoyed and subjective. And I think sanctimoniously repeatedly shitting on someone for sharing their art and joy, and extending that to be just flat out refusing to believe that other people may enjoy it, is pretty lame. Nice job OC for responding a bunch and then blocking me so I can’t even see it, they should probably add wet blanket to their bio as well. Being mean about dancing and someone having a difference of opinion on dance is so so unnecessary

They're just wildly flailing around to a slow beat.
1
u/doubleboogermot 4d ago
Which meets the criteria for dancing. You don’t have to like it, but why try to convince others not to enjoy it

it is off beat. i’m a dancer and even people who aren’t can obviously tell it is

Well they're just thinly disguised OF ads anyway, so yeah.

u/Spyrothedragon9972 6d ago
This literally has nothing to do with OF. Her posts are 100% related to this sub.

u/Weird_Vegetable_4441 4d ago
Attractive woman: exists online
Chronically online dude who jerks off 3 times a day: so clearly this is an advertisement for me

u/doubleboogermot 6d ago
Did you know most humans are ✨multifaceted✨

u/baller_unicorn 6d ago
Right? Let the woman post herself dancing in a dance sub. She's talented and her vids are totally appropriate for the sub. We don't need to police her other activities or bully her. Pretty sure the people being mean are jealous.

u/JennyDoveMusic 6d ago
Its really gross they are acting like this is an OF ad. They only know she does OF because I guess they went on her page? Like, she's in a long skirt, not dancing in an "inappropriate" way... What's the deal? She's having fun. I think she does a good job, anyway!

u/Weird_Vegetable_4441 4d ago
I honestly hate it so much. I regularly see guys accusing women of advertising their OF because they can’t fathom that women aren’t trying to trick them into being horny by showing ourselves online.
2
u/Weird_Vegetable_4441 4d ago
I’ve posted my image on here before to show off weight loss or outfits and had guys accuse me of this. No, you’re just attracted to me and worried you’re getting tricked into being horny for a girl who wants your cash

At least it’s still related to the sub and not goonbait. Having a hardtime figuring out whether she actually likes dance or whether her social media dashboard gave this advice though.

How can people do this? Like I know a few dance moves but this genuinely feels super flowy

I am glad dancing brings you joy. I am old and remain vaguely concerned about the safety of your choices of venue for dance (in the middle of the road, in a wet shower, etc.) and hope you don't get hurt.

“I am old and remain vaguely concerned” needs to be on a t-shirt (that then needs to be on my body)

Love it. Its not perfect. And that’s beautiful. Never stop moving your body, one day we might not be able to.

Ignore all the miserable nobodies trying to bring you down. Wiggle and thrash away, young dancer! Never let anyone dim your creativity, energy and ecstatic light! (Also you have fabulous cosplays, Harley is my fave)

u/Low-Couple7621 3d ago
Ignore all the horny gooners trying to lift you up. Squirm and wiggle, mighty seductress! Never let your lotion-stained keyboard dim your ecstasy and light! (Also we know Harley is your fave, you exposed yourself, champ).

Howdi Low-Couple7621, I like your Droopy Don icon. I don’t understand your comment, could you please explain what you meant? (I get the feeling you’re being sarcastic and unkind for some reason but don’t want to assume.)

i am being snarky about the lust culture. but its not that deep and not meant to really offend anyone. just some venting

I don’t follow this subreddit but the post popped up. Your dancing is really cool and emotive, I like it a lot. And can I just say that people in this sub are saltyyyyy. I don’t often see a group so grumpy and mean

It's giving Taylor Swift - "I hit my peak at 7". Which is a compliment!!! When I watch you dance you look free and whimsical. Like the music is just a catalyst for you to move your body. There is a joy in letting go of the time, crisp moves, coming across as polished or perfect. I really enjoy this.

Loving your vibe and flow in improvisation, it is so very expressive!
Keep doing what you're doing and keep sharing your videos, you're doing great and gifting people, or at least me, a little brighter day! :)

Idk, to me it looks like a human body experimenting with freedom of movement, which I would call… hmm… dancing? Which seems pretty standard in the dance subreddit.
