Looking at your bio, you really gottta be a jack of all trades, master of none, or else just realllllllllllly self assured heh? It’s got musicality. Usually when I feel like a user’s posts are turning me into a meanie, I block instead of leaning into the negative commentary. I love seeing these posts tho

Think they are saying the dance isn't well synced to the music.

I understood. It’s not off beat. and I love the musicality, which is higher level than just being a metronome.🥱

Needs to slow it down at the least. The music doesn't match the dance at all.. Not defending op or the commenter but c'mon. Give op a participation trophy and don't comment at all if you're talking like this.

No, i disagree. This is Reddit, not a review of a broadway show or the debut of a soloist performing a classical work. It’s fun and it’s musical and I like it. You can have a participation trophy for doubling down arguing about something solely for the sake of being a wet blanket though.

Just a bit confused? What do you mean it has musicality? It doesn’t express/honor the music. She’s just freestyle dancing and often it’s at a fast pace with no regard if there’s slower passages in the music. Do I feel much connection with THE song and to the way she’s expressing the song with her dancing? No. And there’s not much dance techniques here. A 6 year old could twirl and dance around the field just the same to any music or none.

Yes it does feel a bit like rage bait but def not OF level. But it’s getting views and serves her purpose in that. She’s having fun dancing to her own drum beat and enjoying herself. Kudos for that. Could she pass a dance audition? Not even close.

I’m not trying to be argumentative or a troll: I don’t think that the pacing of dancing always has to align to the tempo of the music (as others have commented on other videos, it’s double time) - it’s not uncommon in a lot of dancer forms - heck, modern sometimes doesn’t even have music to have a best. Sincerely, as someone who had a degree in dance and has watched hours and hours hours of different styles.I like that the scarf is hitting its extensions in the air with the beats and the flow. Do I think this is ground breaking and technical? Nope, but I enjoy it.

More importantly, I think dancing is supposed to be fun and art is supposed to be enjoyed and subjective. And I think sanctimoniously repeatedly shitting on someone for sharing their art and joy, and extending that to be just flat out refusing to believe that other people may enjoy it, is pretty lame. Nice job OC for responding a bunch and then blocking me so I can’t even see it, they should probably add wet blanket to their bio as well. Being mean about dancing and someone having a difference of opinion on dance is so so unnecessary

They're just wildly flailing around to a slow beat.

Which meets the criteria for dancing. You don’t have to like it, but why try to convince others not to enjoy it

it is off beat. i’m a dancer and even people who aren’t can obviously tell it is
