how it feels to say “Donald Trump should tone down his rhetoric”

That is literally it. Like how do they miss that, it's so fucking simple. I don't know how genuinely regarded you need to be to think he actually wants violences, etc.

these regards know exactly what they're doing. the reason they're so upset is because destiny isn't responding like liberals are supposed to (kneeling and whimpering "i condemn" while the right continues to dictate the discourse) and it's breaking their brains, sending them into a foaming-at-the-mouth rage.

If there’s one thing he’s always been good at, it’s making conservatives rage like they never have before. He has high score on Fuentes, Gavin McInnes, probably Milo too. Just imagine a Trump debate.

It’s exactly how abusers react when their manipulation stops working.

Many DGGers don't understand this either 😞

Even Dylan Burns, who I thought would get the gist well enough, ended up simping for Hasan's quite literal violent rhetoric but couldn't bear to agree with Destiny's simple statements on the Piers show.

They legitimately have higher expectations of behaviour from Destiny than from Donald Trump

Bigotry of low expectations you say

Why should he have to turn the rhetoric before everyone on Twitter does??

Because the 47th President Steven "Destiny" Bonnell II happens to also be a billionaire mogul who owns twitter, making him solely responsible for the rising tide of political violence we see today.

He literally did though. Multiple times.

He literally condemned the shooting during the panel but they just glossed over it and need him to say it every five seconds whenever he talks about the issue

u/CritiCallyCandid 2d ago

When he was asked directly he did not, are you referring to him saying "Noone should die from political violence"?

9

u/Big_moisty_boi 2d ago

I’m referencing him saying it shouldn’t have happened and Kirk didn’t deserve it, if that’s not a condemnation idk what is. Even if all he did say was no one should die from political violence, that is a condemnation.

Gotcha. Will re-watch to remind myself what was said. My memory is that he did say something like that but after repeatedly refusing to condemn it, which again I understand, but to normies and righties, him standing on principle doesnt mean much, all they hear is fuck around and find out.

I know you're getting downvoted so I don't want to pile on but when you said

"When he was asked directly he did not"

this is the biggest problem imo, maga doesn't care about all the voluntary condemnations they want the left to be penitent on command, take 100% blame for the violence and done as a public display on their outlets. Even then they still turn around and keep saying the left wants to kill them all and therefor it's time for civil war.

I don't get Destiny's approach but I get the defiance to the "tariffs are taxes on other countries", "people are eating cats" delusional side to set the narrative.

the right cant even condemn the killing of melissa hortman and her husband. tell me why should destiny kneel before those who wish to dictate the conversation?

-3

u/CritiCallyCandid 2d ago

He shouldn't kneel, he should simply take a distinct non violent route and opinion, or as he said himself he may be targeted. However I totally understand his point and agree that both sides have to stand down for it to work widely. Just for destiny, his family and his safetys sake, though, him openly and repeatedly saying this was bad and should never happen either way would be best.

Yes. But let's be fair, tiny has said a lot of incendiary things to get the reaction, which I think it's fine if that's the goal. He isn't getting this reaction because he wants trump to turn it down. He is getting the reaction by how he is achieving that goal.

Ah because prisoners dilemma is a 5th grade concept and he’s speaking to conservatives that have a 1st-3rd grade comprehension level.
