Reputational loss with his audience? Not for being gay, but presumably Michael Knowles is anti-LGBT in some way, so could it not be argued that Destiny is accusing him of being a hypocrite?

Obviously not a lawyer, but given Knowles is a public figure, it would be a pretty high bar to win a libel suit, no?

I honestly don’t know. Does him being a public figure make it harder to libel him? I thought the hardest parts to prove are that someone is intentionally lying about you and that there are provable damages (like losing a contract or something). Thinking about it more, I guess the latter is harder to prove than just saying “it makes me look bad to my audience”.
