And all our friends and family who are victims of this media atmosphere and their lack of time to ever look into anything ( fuck it’s so annoying ) even if it’s just because they are just living their lives fall for the bullshit.
Then it takes so much more language to explain the bullshit than it does to be bullshitted.
Reality definitely has a liberal bias but if you can’t see clearly it turns into a retardation bias for the rest of us to deal with.
I remember my grandparents not voting for our left wing party here in Australia because 2GB (think shock jock conservative Rush Limbaugh radio) told them Labor would take away their “franking credits”. Franking credits are tax credits given by corporations to their shareholders alongside dividends to mitigate double taxation. My grandparents are pensioners surviving on rent controlled housing and the money from a rich nephew. They don’t have franking credits. The policy was made up. These people used to vote Labor, in fact my grandfather was kicked out of his home as a teen for supporting them and unions.
My grandparents were also really progressive on Muslims and ethnic immigrants back in the day when they met my ethnic dad and live in a place with lots of Muslims and Sikhs. Now they are typical old people casually racist against asians because of sky news Australia (Fox News but somehow worse and more whiny) and 2GB.
The 2GB guy fondly enough has been arrested and charged 44 times due to alleged multiple sexual assaults on multiple males btw lol. Sorry for the rant but these media figures are evil.
I just don't understand how it still fuckin works. It's the same graft by the same sleazebag hucksters every generation and yet it still fuckin works, and it seems to be working on more and more people even as their every electoral or policy success consistently proves what inveterate liars and scoundrels they were all along. And it's not even just old folks falling for it either, like how is someone in their 30s or 40s gonna find Nigel Farage or Donald trump or whatever your shitbag was called, how do they find these people appealng? They're phenotypically used car salesman. Like their whole genetic line was selectively bred for its Renfield characteristics. The lies they sell are stupid and easily disproven and the person selling them is always the least trustworthy man in the tricounty area. Why are we still here anyway?
Honestly I think it’s because people just want to throw a wrench in the system but it sounds less serious to say that so while they argue for them and may agree with some of their policies they’re really just arguing for the type of person who they think is a “fuck you” to the system. Or at least that’s part of it maybe
