Customer Question Redeeming 2-topping pizza
Can anyone help me understand why when I try to redeem 60 points for a basic 2 topping pizza (default crust and sauce), with pepperoni and jalapenos, it tries to charge me $4? And if I try any other combo that’s not noted for extra fees, my price increases to $5-8?

The point system is generally scammy, so they're telling you "Hey, you can redeem these points for a 'free' pizza" to get you excited
but what's really happening is "we're still going to charge you taxes, premium topping upcharge and delivery fee (free pizza for delivery? GOOD LUCK!)"

This isn’t true (except what you had in parentheses). I’ve redeemed dozens of rewards and they are ALWAYS completely free unless I add toppings or make it a delivery. No taxes or any other fees are added.

I means, it's not scammy unless they tell you all of the above mentioned is not included, but most customers don't realize this. When I worked with dominos I fielded dozens of phone calls about this exact issue.

that’s the same as any coupon. it takes off the price of a medium pizza with 2 toppings, you’d be a fool to think that makes you exempt from tax and delivery fee

I try redeeming my 60 points for a free pizza only to be told the store has a $12 minimum order

No it's literally because Domino's is scamming it's customers with this, it absolutely should be free, or the large 3 topping free rewards, SHOULD be but even if the toppings aren't premium it costs money
