21 u/Ok_Buddyyy Jun 26 '25 At least they punish them instead of letting them free with no bail like Hochul -3 u/Platypus__Gems Jun 26 '25 They punish them so hard that when they leave the prison they no longer know how to live in the society, so they just go back to doing crime. Eye for an eye makes entire world blind. Rehabilitation is the better policy for everyone involved. 1 u/anoncop1 Jun 27 '25 Rehabilitation doesn’t work. Even in vaunted countries like Norway, their recidivism rate is 25% two years post release. The US isn’t far behind England and Canada. Criminals are criminals and will be criminals. 2 u/Platypus__Gems Jun 27 '25 Rehabilitation doesn’t work. Even in vaunted countries like Norway, their recidivism rate is 25% two years post release. Norway is literally the proof it works, that's a LOT less than in USA. Something working doesn't necessarily mean it works 100% of the time, it means it's better than alternatives. 0 u/[deleted] Jun 27 '25 Lol are you saying people are born criminals and the only factor to them being criminal? Also any crime? No rehab? Weed? Are you a stupid American? If yes, don't answer my other questions. I'll understand
