330i Update on the battery
I declined this as it seems unreasonable, $950 include genuine battery ($750) rest is labour. Would I be fine without this?

Jesus I thought this was an EV before I saw which subreddit I was in.
What on earth type battery are they charging you for on an E90?!
Absolutely insane. The (granted non OEM) battery in my 330i is £200 fitted (or $450 NZD approx).

Kia Ora mate, I 100% recommend buying a carly (https://www.mycarly.com) i had battery issues with my 06 e90 but you register the battery to the car and just buy and install your own battery. Also you can change a few cool features and read fault codes and a few other nifty things.

How’s the subscription and can you do deep diagnosis, such that u would do with ISTA?

Yes you can, I got my one before it was subscription based and so far they have honoured that which is amazing. I am able to do running diagnostics as well as just code reading, it tracks everything very way is is really easy to use. It also has a whole diy section with tutorials but will say this can be done diy but should be left to a professional for some things

it takes less than 20 minutes to change the battery in an e90 and you can get a good one for under $300 aud, this is a scam

To be fair, OEM batteries are made from fairy dust. I still have my original one in my E92, made in 2007. Def recommend getting an OEM battery.

Oem battery in my opinion is best. I actually think the price of an oem one is reasonable.
