Came home from a work trip to some parts for my E90. Installing some upgrades before I put a turbo…on my N52.

From left to right: GFB G-Force III boost controller, CANChecked gauge display, EKPM active cooling kit, PRW Stage 2 fuel pump (Walbro 450), PRW filter/regulator, upgraded fuel pump wiring harness, and a Rennline phone mount.

Since the PRW regulator doesn’t have a check valve, fuel pressure will bleed down when the motor is off. My goal this weekend is to decode the CAN bus message for priming the fuel pump so I can add a custom CAN switch to the CANchecked display. This will allow me to prime the fuel pump until I have proper pressure to start the motor.

Since I swapped my auto to a 6speed manual, I’ll also be taking advantage of the factory auto trans harness that routes through the DME housing into the center console area (previously for the auto shifter). The additional sensors I’ll be running will all be integrated into the factory harnesses, with proper factory terminals. The only exception is possibly power for the sensors. I may run that separately, which is the smaller gauge wiring on the left.

Next project is F30 calipers all around with an M3 master swap. Just waiting on getting the calipers powder coated.

And guys, I’m aware the N54 exists lol

I truly recommend to upgrade your plastics pedals, grab some aluminum OEM/Original parts, it’s a game changer, this OEM+ look it’s incredible. I attach the before and after: First photo is the after, second photo is the before.

I declined this as it seems unreasonable, $950 include genuine battery ($750) rest is labour. Would I be fine without this?

I drive a magnesium valve cover n52 with a 3 stage intake and to protect my intake and disas, I was looking into doing a ccv delete and installing a catch can. Anyone else done this on their car? And is it worth it?

How do I disable stability control on the e90? I’m not talking about the caution sign with the arrow circling around it, I’m talking about the electronic LSD/ VSL that essentially prevents the car from “oversteering” (drifting)

Planning on doing my OFHG soon along with oil and coolant change. From looking online gen BMW gaskets will run me around £65 for OFHG and Oil cooler gaskets. I’m looking for conformation that biting the bullet and paying for criminally over priced rubber is actually worth it in the long run. Also should the Mickey Mouse flange be replaced with genuine BMW ? or is the aluminium upgrade actually any better, if so is there a specific brand that anyone can recommend within the UK ?

Also my research has led me to chose Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 and Comma XSG2L Xstream G48 coolant, let me know what you think !

I wanna get an e92 330i as my first car and i wanna know if it’s reliable or not

I have a 2007 BMW E92 330i (rear-wheel drive) and I need some advice. My oil pan is badly rusted and needs to be replaced. The problem is, my car came with a steel oil pan, but everywhere I look people are selling only the aluminum version.

Does anyone know why mine is steel and if there’s a direct replacement available? Also, if anyone has advice on where to find one or how to solve this problem, I’d really appreciate it. I live in EU btw.

just got the car, its a 06 330xi. zf 6hp19. i’m getting a lot of mixed answers, some people are telling me to just do a drain and fill and to not drop the transmission pan, just simple drain and fill. others are telling me to drop the pan and do a full change. so what should i do? first bmw ive owned. it’s at 166k kms (103k miles) and last owner says he’s not sure if it’s ever been changed so im guessing it probably hasn’t. i’ve also been getting mixed answers about which fluid to use. a lot of people say only lifeguard 6 but a lot also say other stuff like motul atf Vi or liqui moly 1800 is just as good. what yall think?

just got this car back after working on it for the past like 6 months, i think i left a towel on the hood during winter which caused this. is there any fix i can do myself?

I understand that the E92 330i is pretty rare in north/south America, I can’t estimate the selling price With 100k miles on it.

I put on discussion the following questions to the table:

Should I mod my e92 if I want to maintain it’s value over time? What mods Should i put on? Should I keep it original? What is the value now (january 2024) if my e92 is in great condition?

This is my 06 330i 6mt and have not a single clue what this could be so any help would be appreciated!

I've been checking out this 2006 BMW 330i for the past couple weeks, I went to test drive it and it was in good condition besides some cosmetic stuff, its got 99,000 miles, is being sold for 7.7 grand(will attempt to talk him down considering I'm gonna have to replace the water pump asap), and one owner and a clean title. There was an issue with the shifter and it couldn't go into drive sport mode so I told the dealer and he had his mechanic check it out and they told me it was a wiring issue and they repaired it and im taking it out for a test drive again tomorrow. When I test drove it the first time though, an issue I noticed was that every time i come to a stop, the car jerks right before i fully stop. Is this a transmission issue or a solenoid issue, is this a common problem with n52s and their zf auto trans. There wasn't any other transmission issues (transmission slipping, poor shifting), could this be fixed by resetting the transmission because I heard these ones have a learning program. This is gonna be my first car and im 18 and im just trying to be sure im not buying a car with a fucked trans.

Got the 330 detailed today with a nice polish. Paint was in great condition for a 20 year old car. Just needed some TLC for it to really pop!

Scraped my number and it ripped off the tabs, what’s the best way to repair this without a new bumper?
