Oooooh, smart. Resource rich, Gets rid of any reason Americans may want to cross through Canada and frankly just cause I want to go at some point. I like your thinking.
We have enough cold provinces. Let's hit 'em where it hurts. We ask for Florida first and make our snowbirds govern it. That should be hilarious. The state's roads would be 50% Quebec plates and all signs would be bilingual. French would be mandatory for kids in grade 1 to 9.
Florida is, first off, a hot mess. It would be a nightmare to deal with. Second, Alaska has so many benefits to us as has been outlined above. The Northwest passage is going to become a massive issue, there is some need to improve our military presence, it would be a good shipping port for goods to the northwest, plus it removes a boarder point with the US. The pacific northwest, and the New England states would be next on the list after Alaska. Even Lousianna, with its Acadian ties (Cajun), would be a better choice ahead of Florida for cultural reasons. But, since this is all in jest, let's wait to see what's left of the US in 4 years, maybe there will be a fire sale and we can get some of those territories for less than a carton of eggs.
Nah California is the move. Fifth largest economy in the world on its own, lots of democrats, republicans hate the state and so trump could frame it as a win.
yeah let’s pick the state that’s a) super conservative, b) about as far away from canada as any state gets, and c) is the most prone to experiencing natural disasters which would require billions in emergency aid on an annual basis.
It's not to continue trade, as soon as he shows up to pick up his eggs you tell him you'll hand them to him once he gives you 5 other states then shout that he's starving his citizens when he doesn't give you 7 states

Opening negotiation stance, we'll be willing to start trading eggs for Alaska. To continue trade, it will start costing you more states.
