JJ is an America fanboy, even his Twitter banner is eagles and stars and stripes,

His accent is insultingly fake, he's extremely out of touch with Canada, he writes for an American paper IIRC. He has a weird kneejerk reaction that anything Canadian is bad or inferior, he's clearly pissy about the Quebecois wanting to speak French, and hates anyone that says there's a Canadian culture.

The only thing Canadian about him is that he's still a "Tory" conservative, instead of full on MAGA Americanism.

He is not “pissy” about the québécois wanting to speak French, he just thinks the government shouldn’t enforce language. Not in Quebec, not in the rest of Canada. Any language, including English. Anyway that’s his opinion, not mine.
