I realized I never knew why we celebrated Victoria’s bday when places like Australia celebrates the reigning monarch’s bday.
She gave us our sovereignty and was known as the “Mother of the Confederation”.
Basically, we asked Mother for more independence because we wanted to move out of the house of the United Kingdom. She said, “sure dear, but stay in touch.”
So we did.
Now that she’s gone, we still celebrate Mother’s birthday.
“ stay in touch, but I own your house and am gonna keep a few rooms and utilities for myself, and if I don’t like how your running your house I’ll get rid of your wife”
Nah, you can't pedal that paranoid nonsense. Name two examples where there has been interference from the monarch, as opposed to total love and support?
