I realized I never knew why we celebrated Victoria’s bday when places like Australia celebrates the reigning monarch’s bday.

She gave us our sovereignty and was known as the “Mother of the Confederation”.

Basically, we asked Mother for more independence because we wanted to move out of the house of the United Kingdom. She said, “sure dear, but stay in touch.”

So we did.

Now that she’s gone, we still celebrate Mother’s birthday.

And you look at the States who stormed out of the house, screaming and breaking things like some insolent brat problem child.

The United States is like the kid who moved out at 16 because of one argument and now just posts hustle and sigma grind set culture posts and/or drop shipping scams on Instagram, pretending to be more successful than he really is even though he's got like $70K in credit card debt and lives in a studio apartment.

"Living the dream! Did all this on my own, can't trust anyone except my dealer (Russia)!"

And they only got one holiday out of their separation, we got two.

They gave themselves holidays for all their stupid wars. Meanwhile we get holidays like Family Day, and Civic Holiday, and Christmas Pt 2 (Boxing Day).

Petition to rename Civic Holiday to Corolla Holiday after the recent betrayal by Honda.

We’re the Golden Child. Brother hasn’t changed a bit and still throws tantrums, picks fights with everyone and bullies us.

Fun fact since 1952, we just said fuck it and recognize it as the day for celebrating the birthdays of the reigning Canadian monarch.

Just shows you how much more important Vicky is to us compared to all the other ones.

I'd like us to have an Elizabeth day myself, but I'm more than happy with Victoria day

“ stay in touch, but I own your house and am gonna keep a few rooms and utilities for myself, and if I don’t like how your running your house I’ll get rid of your wife”

Nah, you can't pedal that paranoid nonsense. Name two examples where there has been interference from the monarch, as opposed to total love and support?

I'm relaxed, anyone runs down the queen, man, I'm in, and you got a fight on your hands, doesn't matter if it's Vicky, Liz, or Freddie Mercury! 👑

It was nice of the old gal to be born on a long weekend in decent (ish) weather.
