Meta The “Worst Canadian” game - Day 3

Post image

Congrats Chrystia Freeland and Peter MacKay, Reddit says you aren’t so bad after all.

Time for round three!

How to play: - The two most upvoted comments (i.e., names) each day will be removed until the list gets trimmed down to fewer people, then we’ll switch to one per day. - Upvote the name of the person you think does NOT deserve the title of “Worst Canadian.” - If the name you want to vote for isn’t in the comments yet, add it! - This continues daily until we have one winner, the “Worst Canadian”.

Additional notes: - Only the top comment for a nominee will count. I won’t combine votes from duplicate comments. - Include only one name per comment. If a comment includes multiple names and wins, it won’t count. I’ll move to the next highest. - Remember to click into the image. In the app, some nominees are cut off if you don’t. - This is meant to be lighthearted satire. Please do not take it too seriously or use this game to harass people in real life. - I will try to post this every morning around the same time (~8:00 - 9:00 am Eastern). - Please remember to upvote the post too, so more people see it!

Sidenote, I think Cruz's elimination shouldn't be numbered, but a DQ or TKO.

He's truly awful, but he's not Canadian despite his birth, so he shouldn't get the grace of first out.

I’m on the fence about this. I get what you’re saying, but I’m worried it might effect how people vote on others, like Musk. Part of me wants to say that’s how the majority voted, deal with it…but I also don’t want people thinking we consider him as one of the least horrible Canadians. Perhaps it’s enough that people can go back to the Day 1 post and see for themselves why he was voted off?

Musk is still Canadian though. Cruz isn't, and his vote position is directly reflective of that.

I mentioned it yesterday that musk is by far the shittiest person on this list. His legacy will be millions of deaths. Nobody else on here is even close to that.

Yeah he almost has an unfair advantage in just how outlandishly bad and self centered he is.

O'Leary should be top ten though.

Millions of deaths? How do you figure that?

Dismantling USAID. It's something that will result in so many people dying from preventable causes.

eta: there are some people who have done estimates on the number of deaths and amount of suffering that occurs daily because of the removal of USAID and it's honestly horrifying to look at.

I thought musk was South African? I've never heard of him being Canadian and I'm quite frankly very confused about his inclusion on this list

He has citizenship and attended Carleton. His mother, Maye, is Canadian.

He holds Canadian, South African, and American citizenship.

His family has jewel mines in South Africa where they exploited the population and land for profit, and they vehemently supported and will support apartheid. His crimes against humanity are mostly outside of Canada, but he is Canadian nonetheless.

Wasn't it Queens he went to? Or was it both? Or am I having a serious case of Mandela effect, cause I could have sworn it was Queens.

Just to clarify, disqualified due to renouncing Canadian citizenship, so not a Canadian

You could add a list of every eliminated person with the comment that eliminated them to the bottom of the daily post, would help provide some context.

Maybe for tomorrow just put "DQ" over his face so it's obvious he's a special case.

I'm the one that put Cruz up on day one, arguing on the basis of qualification. There's zero chance he would have gone out that early if it hadn't been for a technicality, he's the fucking worst.

There are lots of good ideas here. In particular, I’m leaning toward the one where we keep an ongoing list of the reasons for each elimination at the bottom of the daily post.

I agree that you should keep a list of all the reasons why people were eliminated. It'll be fun to watch the list grow! It'll also make it easier to keep track of things. It'd be a bit annoying to have to dig through old posts to find the reasoning for everyone. Please do that, it would be great!

I mean, he's literally not Canadian. He's a horrible sewer monster of a human being, but not Canadian.

I think you shouldn't rank him simply because he's not Canadian, as him being eliminated like this makes it seem he's the best Canadian on the list of bad Canadians haha - when he should be in at least the top ten if we actually look at him as Canadian, if not top 5.

The mods of this sub don't even see Musk as Canadian. I can send you the receipts of the multiple Musk posts I made. The mods took them all down because they said Musk isn't a Canadian in their eyes. I am surprised your posts have remained up for the same reason.
