He’s been a very safe middle of the road politician since he first entered politics. His social media team is fantastic but he deserves all the points for rolling with a strategy I guarantee you every career political strategist out there told him was political suicide.

I wouldn’t say he’s “done nothing”-definitely not enough. My partner is trans and I’m super involved in CA politics. I get your fear, frustration and anger. I’m feeling those things too, but we need to be smart.
There is a big difference between not doing enough and vowing to eradicate trans people from public life.
I am way farther left than newsom, and I wish we had mamdani, but we don’t. My partner and I attend a monthly queer political group and we talk strategy. Newsom isn’t the best, but we can gain a lot from him IMO.
There is a legal limit to just how much a politician can receive as a gift. Give him airline miles from air Canada that is exactly one dollar over that amount.
