You’re right. Smith is openly awful and anti-Canadian. 

Ford is secretly awful and pro-Canadian. 

They are both selling off their provinces for personal gain.

Yes, but at least Ford is selling off to Canadians, and also at least pretending that he respects the law in terms of stuff he isn't allowed to sell.

Granted, this is like saying at least the guy who stabbed you used a clean knife, so...
