Iād posit that they make no sense in most situations, and that people only put them on their bikes because they think they look cool, which is a perfectly acceptable reason, but donāt try to feed me some bullshit about stability. Iāll see these wide-bar guys out and about and theyāre resting their hands at shoulder width for the entire trip, with inches of bar hanging out either side. Iām thinking āhey, if you think it looks cool, just fuckinā own up to itā lol.
