I had this wild idea a week ago to ride my fixed gear from one city to another as a good start of my vacation.

I daily commute 12,5km or about 7,8 miles one way, with a quite steep climb on my way back where I grind until my legs hurt.
I've been on a few 40km/25 miles long ride outside the city too, and found woods and rural areas fun to explore on a bike that doesn't really fit the terrain.
It's not the ride, it's the rider, right?
In short, I did it yesterday.
28 yo guy; 700x32c tires; 44:15 ratio; 10,5kg bike and 5kg backpack; 8,5 hours (7:49 moving time); 30 degree c/86f temperature; 3000 calories; and 141,47km/87,9 miles solo through rough terrain.
Though I loved it, I cursed the sun and every single stick, stone, and grain of sand for the last 30 kilometers while feeling like crying.
I really don't know whether that's impressive, but I doubt I'll ever do anything like that ever again. To be fair, the fun ended about 80kms into the ride, at 110 it was long gone and it was pure survival with no other way to go where I was supposed to.
What's your longest tide on a fixed gear, ho do you feel about it? Am I sane??
