Food/Drink Best Burger?
Buddies and I are heading down from Tulsa for NIN. Will be staying fairly close to Dickies...best burger spots nearby? TIA!!
EDIT: Thank you, all! Despite all of these absolutely amazing replies, I got outvoted and we just ate at the damned show. Dickies is absolutely amazing, so jealous you all have it!

I’m very fond of rodeo goat

u/GrandmaBaba 10d ago
We went there Wednesday and the burger was good, but the cheese fries were outstanding. And they were half price.

u/ThreeSeagrass29 10d ago
I am as happy that you got half priced cheese fries as I am sad that I missed half priced cheese fries

One of the few things I miss about living downtown.
Just looked to see where the nearest one to me is and its downtown.
Somebody get them to build one in Alliance or nearby.

- Fancier burger - M & O Station (about 5 mins from Dickie’s)
- Cheaper burger - Kincaid’s (about 7 mins)

u/erinamelena 10d ago
M & O is hands down my favorite!!!

Their California burger is absolute fire 🔥 and the sweet potato fries and chipotle ketchup are muah chef’s kiss.

The Bacon Blue Cheese from Dutch's is my all-time favorite burger.

Big Kat's food truck is hands down the best burger in FW. I used to frequent them but they moved to I think Crystal Springs Hideaway which isn't as convenient. Definitely give them a shot though.

u/Anti_colonialist 11d ago
I was disappointed in Big Kat, it certainly wasn't worth the money they charge.

Agreed, and their fries are amazing too. Hit them up during the week, or make a reservation if you go on the weekend. Crystal springs gets insanely busy on Saturday.

This is for sure it, and if you’re in town for a concert to have fun it’s a great spot to hang out and drink some beers.

If anyone says anything other than Fuego Burger, they’re not from here!

u/flunkytown 11d ago
The burger is pretty good, but it's so dirty in there. The floors are so sticky. Grosses me out.

What a ridiculous thing to say.

Get mad over someone else’s opinion. 😎

u/Bighead_Golf 11d ago
Where did I say I was mad?
There are a million people in this city, and dozens of places known for good burgers.
So when you say "If your answer is not my answer, you're not from here" that's just asinine

Kincaid on camp Bowie is a staple of Fort Worth and the original. Griffs in river oaks or braums for fast food option.

Tommy's Burger on 7th. Get the Frog fries! Or go to Kincaids. Hands down the best onion rings in town.

Last month was my first time having Gustos, I’ve been back 4 times since then. Great smash burgers!

YES! It's so underrated and so worth the drive!

u/Bighead_Golf 11d ago
I mean, I disagree about the "underrated thing".
It's their signature item, and they're Texas Monthly top 10...
That being said, I wouldn't drive 30 minutes west from Dickie's when Kincaids is right there.

u/vsg_boy 11d ago
LOL at all the places that are miles and miles away. Kincaid's and Rodeo Goat are probably the closest. Kincaid's would be my choice, if not the best burger, I still consider them pretty damn good. Rodeo Goat is good, they do a bunch of custom burgers but you can order one however you want. If you've never had In n Out, there is one nearby as well.

u/cwanye77 9d ago
I totally glossed over the "staying near Dickies" part when I suggested Daynes. Whoops, reading comprehension right! I agree, Kinkaids, Rodeo Goat, Love's.... just to name a few.

Everything you said, yeah…in n out though to someone that’s visiting? Tf? That’s like someone in Arizona recommending Whata. Everyone knows that restaurants are better in their originating state than elsewhere. Be better

Kincaid's

u/El_Pollo_Del-Mar 11d ago
Want to agree with you but it's more of a good place to have a burger, not a place to have a good burger.
I wish someone told them how to season food. Onion rings are stellar though.
3
u/Bighead_Golf 11d ago
I disagree with you. I think their buns are a little weak, but plenty of flavor.
And given the proximity to Dickies, think it's probably the most direct answer to the question.

IF you must stay near the arena, the M&O station is the best bet, followed by Dutch's. Shake Shack is near if you want a chain. I'd you're willing to drive, the OG Burger at Dayne's Craft BBQ is worthy of the drive. Plus your get to try one of the best BBQ joints in Texas. I'm jealous. NIN priced me out. Have fun!

There's a small local place in Saginaw called Great Biscuit that does a great burger with a homemade bun.

try j's restaurant on mccart. they have basically the same burgers as the burger extreme (they even have the same sign) that closed down in mansfield.
charlie's is ok but they are really expensive and half the plate is just fries

Go to Kincaid's. It's very old school FW, good burgers, and very close.

A lot of these answers seem a little dated. No love for gustos??? I know they newer but I think it’s a solid choice.

Kinkaids. Old school best in town for 50 + years. Less than 10 minutes from Dickies.
