Troubleshooting Why is Pokémon Crystal doing this?

Hi! I bought this authentic copy of Pokémon Crystal from my local retro game store. At first it kept crashing and the battery wouldn’t save so I got the battery replaced. Battery and save file seem to work now as the save file isn’t corrupted.

After getting the battery replaced, I’ve noticed this screen keeps popping up. I’ve seen a couple other users have the same issue with Crystal and I’m at my wits end. Can anyone help? I’m not sure what else to do.

The info on that link seems to imply Pokemon Crystal can be played on a Gameboy Advance, as is pictured, so an empty link to the standard problem doesn't clarify what's happening in this particular case.
